Milli Vanilli – Girl You Know It’s True

This song is a last minute replacement, for unstated reasons. This song is gonna be loved or hated. This catchy dance song was super popular and then the whole lip-sync controversy happened. This song kind of speaks for itself. We hope it rocks your next RB party!

 

Smokey Robinson and the Miracles – The Tracks Of My Tears

This beautiful track is some of the great sound of the 60’s. This song is highly recognizable and will probably be one you know. This great track should be a great addition to any RB library.

 

Sonny & Cher – I Got You Babe

This is the ultimate duet of the 60’s. This song is gonna be great for all the couple to sing, hopefully romance ensues. We hope you dig this 60’s gem!!

 

Lisa Gail Allred – 3 Second Rule

The bonus song this week is the infamous Three Second Rule by Lisa Gail Allred, known for its music video, widely considered of poor quality, and with ridiculous vocal effects on the backing vocals. With the poor reception the video got, and other circumstances regarding its creator that I won’t go into detail about, it was eventually removed from Youtube, but has since been re-uploaded. It’s one of Sy’s guilty pleasures and a re-chart of an old one he did, with the album version, which has additional instrumental work on it. We at the Funhouse do not condone bullying in any way, so while it’s fair to have a laugh at the ridiculousness of the song, we ask you to keep in mind that there’s still a real human being behind most ‘terrible’ songs, that tried their best.

 

 

We had 1 “Big Brain” this week and he got all three of the Original Hints and almost got the last minute hail mary hint.

Yeah, Milli Vanilli is an awesome surprise. I’ll never forget back in the day when they got caught lip syncing at a live concert and it pretty much ruined their career. Also amazed “I Got You Babe” was never authored in the past. That is a huge hit.

Hint for Song #1

To get this started off right, we have an anthem for the oppressed. In this pop artist’s 2017 release, we get an anthem for those that are held back from an artist that has had a tough road over the last bit. This is a great song with a strong message and strong language.

 

 

Hint for Song #2

Next up, we have the title track to this artist’s fourth solo studio album. The artist first gained fame as part of a rap group then embarked on a fairly successful solo career. The artist also had a few acting credits to his name in both film and TV.

 

 

Hint for Song #3

To finish out this great release, we have a London based indie rock/ alternative band. The song was featured in one of my favorite TV shows. The band and song are as original as a fish that walks. The song was also the opening track for this band’s fifth studio album, but we are doing the version from TV.

Ke$ha – Bastards – Ke$ha has had a rough ride lately and her new album is a triumph over that tough time. This anthem for those who are pushed aside or pushed back, is a great example of turning real life hardships into great art. Enjoy this catchy track.

 

Everlast – White Trash Beautiful – Everlast, who formerly in the hip-hop group House of Pain, has a great song in this catchy love song. It has been stuck in my head all week long. This is my favorite of Everlast’s songs. It may have came out a little later, but don’t snooze on this great track!!

 

The Veils – Axolotl (Roadhouse Mix) – No secret, I love Twin Peaks! This track was featured in the New Return of Twin Peaks. There were many great songs from the Roadhouse. You will see more, I’m pretty sure. The eerie indie rock track is perfect for a Lynch soundtrack. If you like Twin Peaks or the music from it, give this bad oscar a shot, you won’t regret it.
