Hey there, just wanted to congratulate you on producing (IMO) your best Rockfight Saturday Night. Funny, creative and very well-written, you had me laughing out loud time and again. Thank you for that and for the old Pink Floyd. I once had Arnold Layne and See Emily Play on my to-do list. Looking forward to singing them. Shout-out to Sy and anyone else who helped out last week – great songs and a very entertaining release.

Release Notes
ELO – Showdown was planned a while back. We found out nsw1-6 had done work on it so we held it back so we could in in a great collaboration. It was worth the wait. I love this song. It is super-fun and the Theme Song to this month’s RockFight Saturday Night.
REO Speedwagon – Ridin’ the Storm Out is one of my all time favorite songs! The Original version that is! The live version and the re-record with Kevin Cronin are good, but the original is great. I have wanted it for a long time. Now everyone can enjoy this classic, in its original form.
The Partridge Family – I Think I Love You is a true classic. This week we can all rock it out!
We had three “Big Brains” this week. Great job everyone!!

August 6, 2017 at 10:06 am #488978Great songs this week. Only a very very small issue with Showdown, chorus 2 “night” has minus instead of plus to join Vick slide.

August 6, 2017 at 11:02 am #488980great song choices…..
August 6, 2017 at 12:27 pm #488983Thank you for doing one of my girlfriends and my favorite songs, Ridin the Storm Out. A lot of our friends laugh when we tell them that REO was some hard bluecollar kick ass rock n roll, Then we play this song and they quickly change their opinion haha. We’re hoping you will do their other no nonsense kick ass classics one day, it goes by the title of Back On The Road Again. Thanks again!
August 6, 2017 at 2:02 pm #488985“Showdown” = “Oh, THAT song!”
Great choices as always, thanks to you all.
August 6, 2017 at 2:47 pm #488987Thank you!
August 7, 2017 at 10:06 pm #489043Hey there Rockers,
It is Monday and that means it is time to test your trivia knowledge with the hints for this week’s release. We had all 3 answered last week, let’s match that again this week.Hint for Song # 1
To get this all kicked off right, we have a super-popular song by an artist returning to the Funhouse. His last trip was very well received and many people requested this hip-hop classic. It reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song featured a controversial sample that resulted in an out-of-court settlement.Hint for Song # 2
Up next, is a track many have wanted for a long time. This female hip-hop classic was so good, the group performed it for Nelson Mandela’s birthday. This platinum track also made Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. It has been in several other rhythm/dance/music games.Hint for Song # 3
To finish out this awesome themed week, we have the third single from a landmark hip-hop album. This ode to clueless people and the wack way they act is a super fun song. The song is from a double platinum album that also contained a track that rejuvenated a classic hard rock band’s career. One the members of this group has been to the Funhouse before. We had three “Big Brains” this week. Great job everyone!!
