Lend me your ears, friends of any gender! If we cannot amend the poll results, the current trend endeavors to send contender Pink Floyd into the end zone to score against the Doors… I abhor that possibility more than you can comprehend.

 

Let us not pretend this will be an easy victory. But we can never surrender our Fenders, Doors supporters! I recommend we defend against the pretenders until the fiends can endure no more and the crown is ours. Let’s send them packing before they can ascend the throne! If enough voters tend to the poll we can upend the results and bend the offenders to our will!

 

I commend you for your dedication to render a radical result for this referendum. If we succeed, we will be remembered as legends! How splendid!

Hey there Rockers,

Thank you for all the cool responses. I do want to say that ‘The End’ would only be a Funhouse release, if it were our last. There is still more in the Funhouse to come, so this RockFight won’t be ‘The End’ regardless of winner. The reason for pitting great bands against one another is simple, having a huge band in a match versus a band that is basically a jobber wouldn’t be much of a contest. Close fights are a good thing. We hear the fans. It is tough to choose or see a band you like lose. RockFighters are warriors, many return after losses, to fight another day. In fact, the RockFight Commission is working on something new as we speak, actually several new things. There will be more news on this as it develops. Thank you all for the kindness and being part of the RockFights!!!

Well if you guys end up doing any Doors material I do have the multitrack audio for the entire 1st album. I want to do full band for “Alabama Song”, “Take It As It Comes”, and “The End”. Someone offered to do bass and guitar for them but never came through. Eventually the dust will brush off and work will be done on them. Drum only versions are buried in my thread at the moment.

Hey there Rockers,

How about a Friday hint session? Next week will feature one of my all time favorite bands in a 3 pack. The band has been to the Funhouse 5 times already, This weekend there will 8 total tracks by this band from the Funhouse. I will give you one hint per song. Let’s see how big your brains really are.

This song’s main chorus is a Bill Hick quote. Pardon me a moment… Bill Hicks is one of the all-time greatest comics. If you have never heard Bill’s words please go to you-tube and give him a listen. He has inspired countless, me included. I cannot stress this enough Bill Hicks is amazing!!!

 

Track # 3

The last track shares it’s title with a film, from the maker of a different film, that a member of this band would later name one of his many side projects after. Pretty cool fact.

Release Notes

 

Cone of Shame is from the 2015 come-back album Sol Invictus. It is everything great about Faith No More. It is often stuck in my head. If this isn’t one of your favorites already it soon will be.

 

Ricochet is from the King for a Day… Fool for a Lifetime album. It is one of the catchiest tracks in the FNM catalogue. The line it’s always funny until someone gets hurt… then it’s just hilarious is a quote from comedian Bill Hicks. I love Bill Hicks!

 

Edge of the World is a piano-driven classic. Filmmaker Michael Powell made a film named Edge of the World, he also made a film named Peeping Tom, which Mike Patton Used as one of his side projects band names.
