    Hey there Rockers,
It is Tuesday today, I had a super busy day yesterday, so I’m a little behind. This week is super special to me. There is very few moments like this one. I have waited for this week for 25 years.

This week, we have a theme. The theme is homage to a director and his vision that changed television forever. For some, these hints will be nonsense and to others should be kind of easy. Let’s see which happens to you.

    Hint for Song #1
If you and a couple pretty girls decide to get together and sing a song that sounds like the 50’s, be careful evil lurks near-by.

    Hint for Song #2
When making trips to Canada for a crazy sex and drugs party, this colorful place is just the ticket.

    Hint for Song #3
Another facet to this amazing artistic talent is music, here we have homage to a Bob Dylan penned classic. The artist claims it isn’t a cover but a cover of a cover.

We had 3 “Big Brains” last week on our cartoon picture hints. Nice work everyone!!
    You got mad skills.

I can’t think of any of the songs right now. But the hints lead me to believe that the theme is David Lynch/Twin Peaks related. As the show starts again this Sunday.

        Hey there Rockers,

I have waited for today for 25 years and 11 months. I know that sounds crazy, but it is completely true.

        Today Twin Peaks Returns!!!

I can’t say enough great things about the world of Twin Peaks. Months back, we released the Twin Peaks Theme, which made me so happy! Today the music will be in the air. There is a lot of Twin Peaks music that is incredible. We went with a little slice from from many pies. After today’s release and the theme we already released, included will be a song each from: Twin Peaks Soundtrack, Twin Peaks Season 2 and More Soundtrack, Fire Walk With Me Soundtrack and also a song from David Lynch’s album The Big Dream. This is something that thrills me to no end!

This week’s release is dedicated to two of the coolest peeps on the C3 forums…

        Funk Meister Freud and Housequake

They spread good words and love all over this forum. They encourage and support so many authors.

We salute you, Funky and Housequake. You make C3 a better place!

Did I mention they live near the actual Twin Peaks?

They have been so personally kind to me, I had to do this dedication. I had this planned and have been waiting for it.

Thank you my friends!! There will always be mad love for you here at the Funhouse!!

          #485489

Welcome Rockers, Peeps and Rock Band Freaks!!
          Tonight…
RockFight Saturday Night presents Detroit RockFight City Triple Threat

Coming to you live from a secret and undisclosed location in Detroit

          Kid Rock
          Vs.
          Ted Nugent
          Vs.
          Insane Clown Posse

Ringside commentators Gordon Caray and “Funk Master” Floyd Cooper will start us off tonight.

GC – “Holy cow! We have a real barnburner for you folks tonight. For the first time ver RockFights are going on the road. We are here in a, let’s say… decaying urban area of Detroit. We were escorted in by security about an hour ago. The crowd waiting outside was a decidedly angry mob and they are ready for action.”
FM – “I saw about 500 faces with Juggalo paint on out there. It looks as though this crowd may be strongly behind the ICP tonight.”
GC – “ICP looked ready for this match. The clowns were vicious at the announcement!”
FM – “Let’s go to our backstage correspondent JJ Nagin backstage with the wicked clowns!”

We see JJ Nagin with Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope standing by.

JJ – “My name is JJ Nagin and I’d like to, at this time, welcome J and Shaggy back to RockFight!”
VJ – “We are here to make a statement. We got wind there was gonna be RockFight in own backyard. We were gonna be in it no matter what. I don’t know what they had planned and I don’t give a flying fuck! Detroit is our backyard… Dog will hunt!!”
S2D – “Nobody gonna stop us! No long haired pimp! No angry loin-cloth wearin’ redneck! Fuck all that! We will destroy them both, y’all!”
JJ – “You guys seem to have a numbers advantage. Does that figure into your strategy?”
VJ – “Juggalos always have the numbers. No juggalo stands alone. There is no way either of those guys is pinning one of us. Zero Chance… Bet on it!!”
S2D – “Enough with the lips, Let’s do this shit!!”
The Clowns walk away, talking strategy between themselves.

We head back to the ringside announcers. RockFight Commissioner Sam J. Glarms is seated at the announce desk with the play-by-play guys.
GC – “We are here with Commissioner Glarms.”
SJG – “Hello Gordon, Floyd. I’m here to discuss this week’s match. It is the first ever Triple Threat match. The rules are simple the rocker scoring the pinfall or submission will be the winner.”
FM – “So, you can lose this match without being pinned or submitting?”
SJG – “That is accurate. The match is to one fall, not elimination style. When you have two individuals and a team of two, it is the only fair way. Contracts have been signed and that is where the buck stops!”
GC – “That will make for the most interesting fight! In the interest of keeping up with the action with these competitors, is the Sygenysis 9000 system here on the road in Detroit RockFight City to keep things fair?
SJG – Sygenysis knows all and sees all, even in the Motor City. It is fully operational and ready to rock!”
GC – “Thank you for your time, Commissioner.”
SJG – “Have a good fight and a good night!!”
FM -“Let’s go to JJ in the back with Ted Nugent!”

We see JJ Nagin standing with Ted Nugent. Ted is fully dressed in camo-gear holding a bow in his hand with an arrow between his teeth.
JJ – “I’m standing here with musical/hunting icon Ted Nugent. Welcome back to Detroit, Ted.”
TN -“I wish I could say it’s nice to be back. But this toilet of a city is just a liberal hell-hole.”
JJ – “How do you size up your opponents for an event like this?”
TN – “Well, we have a couple of clowns and a misguided pimp wannabe, not too much to size up here.”
JJ – “You sound pretty confident for a man about to face 3 other men. Don’t the numbers worry you?”
TN – “I am number one… they are all number two! HAHAHA!!”
JJ – “All humor aside Ted, this match is no laughing matter. These men are out for blood.”
TN – “Blood, blood you say. Hunters smell blood and come out firing. Ain’t no Detroit toolbags gonna stand between me and victory!”
JJ – “Thank you Ted! Let’s go back to ringside.”

At ringside we see, Bob-Wayne Zim, Dom Epietro and SC Smith at the officials table. Bobby Light, our referee this evening, is going over the match rules with them as we speak. Ring announcer Towelie Buffer is talking with RockFight medical staff, Spindoctor and Dr. Housequake MD. The crowd is a largely Juggalo crowd. They love their ICP here in the D.
In the crowd we also see, Tim Allen, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, King Gordy and Jack White.
The arena itself is an old warehouse. It is dingy and beat up on the outside. The RockFight crew did a great job getting the inside finished off — very cool! A stage with a huge screen on one end is lead, by an aisle-way, to the ring.

We now see JJ Nagin standing by with Kid Rock. Let’s go to him now live!

JJ – “I would like to welcome Kid Rock to RockFight Saturday Night! Welcome Kid Rock!!!”
KR – “It is great to be in Detroit for a RockFight. I dig the RockFights. I love Detroit!”
JJ – “How do you feel going into a match like this?”
KR – “It’s the shit!! I’m feeling good and that means trouble for the others. I wish them no ill will, I love my Detroit brothers, but they are in the way of my pimpin’ victory after-party. That shit won’t fly. We need to party , right Detroit??”
The crowd goes wild! A chant starts…

          This is awesome!!
          This is awesome!!
          This is awesome!!

JJ – “Sounds like this crowd is behind you. Do you have any strategy?”
KR – “Hell yeah, don’t lose… that is all!!”
JJ – “Thank you Kid Rock. Let’s get back to ringside!”

We see Towelie Buffer in the center of the ring. It looks like we are about get under way here.
TB – “Welcome Rockers, Peeps and Rock Band Freaks. Before we begin, in memory of one of the all-time musical greats Chris Cornell, we would like you all to join us in a moment of silence for a 10 bell salute.”

The crowd erupts after the 10 bells. Tears stain cheeks of audience members. A new chant breaks out…

          Gone too soon!!
          Gone too soon!!
          Gone too soon!!

As the crowd settles Towelie Buffer speaks again.
TB – “Tonight’s contest is a Triple Threat Match. The match will be decided by one pinfall or submission. There is no disqualifications and no count outs. There is no time limit!”

          On the big screen…
          Are you Ready?

The RockFight Saturday Night theme for this month, King Gordy – Fight, begins to play as pyro goes off everywhere.

          The crowd roars…

          Holy Shit!!
          Holy Shit!!
          Holy Shit!!

Standing at the top of the ramp is Ted Nugent. Ted fires a flaming arrow into the face of a deer shaped foam target and begins his walk to the ring, as the arrow melts the deer head. Even the Juggalos are impressed with the imagery. Ted gets in the ring and immediately starts with the heel-ish antics. Inciting the crowd to a near-fever pitch as we hear a large explosion on the stage. From behind the wall of smoke emerges Kid Rock. Kid Rock has a beautiful girl on each arm and is wearing a long fur coat. He slowly makes his way to the ring, while smoking a big fat cigar. He climbs the ring steps. The girls hold the ropes for Kid Rock to enter the ring. Ted has seen enough and puts the boots to Kid Rock. Another huge explosion on the stage, followed by a wall of huge flame pots, followed by a shower of sparks. Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope coming running out of the sparks. The ICP is on a dead run to the ring. They hit the ring as Ted Nugent has Kid Rock in a Stranglehold. Violent J grabs Ted Nugent and throws him into the corner, upside down. He ties him to the tree of woe and starts a boot party on Ted. Shaggy picks up Kid Rock and whips him over the top rope to the floor. Shaggy then joins Violent J stomping away at Ted Nugent. Referee Bobby Light calls for the bell signifying the start of this match!!

That is all the time we have for tonight!!

Join us Saturday for the exciting conclusion.

Any change of getting unpitched vocals for all the Megadeth Countdown to Extinction Tracks?

Would really love to sing them!

I also would be grateful if there was an interest to add vocals. Either way, other might be interested to have them added to the customs database. I have enjoyed playing them. Thanks!

PS: Does anyone think Ted Nugent or Kid Rock will become politicians? Glad to see them in the rock fight.

          #485577

Welcome Rockers, Peeps and Rock Band Freaks.

Are you ready for the exciting conclusion to RockFight Saturday Night?

Let’s go right to ringside, where we’ll join Gordon Caray and “Funk Master” Floyd Cooper.

GC – “Welcome back fight fans! We are here at an undisclosed secret location in Detroit. The action in ring is just underway. Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope are both stomping Ted Nugent. Kid Rock is down on the outside of the ring right in front of our announce desk. The Clowns lay a few more boots to Ted and head to the floor to work over Kid Rock. Violent J picks up Kid Rock and whips him into the barricade. Shaggy follows him into the barricade and hit a running knee to the face.
FM -“Man, that was brutal. It looks like they are setting up Kid Rock on the announce desk.”
GC – “Indeed they are Funky! They pull out all the monitors and wires as we stand by. There is nothing we can do. They have kid Rock on the announce desk. Oh my God, they are setting up for the “Juggalo Jack” spiked piledriver on the announce desk!”
FM – “The ICP is setting up the pimp. Violent J set him up for the pile driver, Shaggy grabs his feet and jumps in the air, spiking the pile driver as J crushes Kid Rock into the desk. Pieces of wood and metal fly about as the mighty impact meets the desk.”
GC “Oh my god! Kid Rock is down. The Insane Clown Posse stand over a fallen Kid Rock.”

          Here comes the fecal chant…

          Holy Shit!!
          Holy Shit!!
          Holy Shit!!

GC – “As I stare down at the lifeless body of Kid Rock, the clowns celebrate and head back into the ring to deal with Ted Nugent. Ted has finally freed himself from the ringropes and is standing looking down at the carnage at ringside. He sees the ICP coming for him. He tries to fight his way through, but the two on one is too much for him. The clown land some big boots on Ted. They are setting him up in the corner. Shaggy slams Ted and Violent J climbs the turnbuckles and prepares to moonsault onto Nugent. Crashhh! Violent J lands the moonsault. Ted is in deep trouble.”
FM – “Outside the ring, Kid Rock has moved a little, but looks as though he is in very rough shape. He tries to stand and immediately falls flat on his face.”
GC – “Ted is fairing no better in the ring, as ICP celebrates and works the frenzied crowd. Shaggy jumps down to the floor, stomps Kid Rock a few times and grabs a microphone from the official’s desk. He lays a few more boots to Kid Rock and bring the mic into the ring. He hands the mic to Violent J.”
VJ – “Who wants to see us “Juggalo Jack” the Great White Hunter?”

Violent J drops the mic! The crowd erupts. The clowns set up the spiked pile driver.
          BLAAAMMMM!!

Ted is down. The crowd starts to chant…

          You Got Jacked!!!
          You Got Jacked!!!
          You Got Jacked!!!

Violent J picks up the mic and begins to address the crowd. Outside the ring Kid Rock is dazed and can’t even stand. Ted Nugent is basically a stain on the mat.
VJ – “That is how it’s done in Detroit, baby! The hunter got hunted and the pimp got pimp-slapped! We are the Kings of Detroit, just like we said we would be. Ain’t nobody in Detroit gonna take out the Juggalos. This is our city and we rule it!”
All of the sudden, there is video on the big screen on the stage.

GC – “There is a solitary silhouette on screen. It looks like… It is… it’s Eminem!”
MM – “That is a mighty big claim, Clown!”
VJ -“Look Marshall, this is our day. Don’t you have a commercial to make or something?”
MM – “I have nothing better to do than to clown around with you!”
VJ – “I notice you are not here. You got shit in your blood and talk real tough. If you were the man in Detroit, you would be here instead of on the big screen like a pussy fart!”
MM – “Is that fuckin’ so?”
A large explosion occurs ion the stage and from the smoke emerges Marshall Mathers in the flesh!
MM – “I have a little surprise for you!”

He appears to be holding a small remote control. He pushes the little red button on the remote. From the ceiling pours gallons and gallons of Faygo soda.

MM – “I thought you bitches might be thirsty! HAHAHA!!”

Eminem drops the mic and heads to the back. ICP is livid and totally drenched in Faygo. They take off to give chase to Eminem. Outside the ring Kid Rock finally stands and tries to crawl back into the ring. Kid Rock crawls into the ring and covers a lifeless Ted Nugent. The wicked clowns hear Bobby Light start the 3 count and turn to get back in the ring.

1…2…3 Kid Rock makes the pin complete as the Clowns reach the ring too late to make the save. Booby Light calls for the bell.

Winner — Kid Rock Pins Ted Nugent at 16:52

ICP is pissed, it looks like Eminem cost them the match… or their anger did. They attack Kid Rock as security tries to break up the ruckus. Security has finally got order restored in the ring.
GC – “Oh my god! What an amazing turn of events. Kid Rock wins by pinfall as ICP chases Eminem. I’m sure that we haven’t heard the end of this!”
FM – “What an amazing match! You never know what will happen in RockFights!”
GC – “I’m given word Ted Nugent and Kid Rock are ok from our ringside physicians Spindoctor and Dr. Housequake MD. That is great news! That looks like all the time we have for this month, we will return soon with the next installment of RockFight Saturday Night.”
FM – “Well Gordo! Let’s stick a fork in this one and get some drinks!”
GC – “Great idea, Funky! That does it for this episode. For “Funk Master” Floyd Cooper and JJ Nagin, this is Gordon Carray wishing you a good weekend. We’ll see ya all next month!!”

Remember to Rock Out… Life is Short

Haven’t made a post here in a while about the songs, so here goes for this week’s stuff. Even if you’re not a Kid Rock fan, his music has a lot of focus on guitar, and all three songs we did are pretty damn fun on it as a result. Fuck Off is mostly riffs that repeat, but Cowboy has a lot of improv guitar stuff that goes from the third verse to the end of the song, and on Keys, has some really fast trills in its own solo. All Summer Long also has a fairly long solo with some pretty tricky parts, and the less obvious Skynyrd influence of Free Bird comes through with some of the patterns played.

For the bonus tracks, I heard Don’t Fear the Winter last week looking for a song by Rage for a FoF.net project, and was hooked on it ever since. It’s pretty damn catchy, with its constant key changes in the verses, and a great chorus, as well as two pretty fast solos, nearly back to back.

Street Rock’n Roller is a song we released a few years ago, and is some great NWOBHM-influenced heavy metal with fantastic guitar work, with some really fast flourishes before every verse, and a really fast solo, complete with syncopated riffs and beats on every instrument. Vocals are quite fun on both of the bonus tracks, and a decent challenge on both, but I’m not the greatest judge of vocal difficulties, so they might be a little bit overtiered. Regardless, everything should be pretty good to play.

Nice Kid Rock choices, thanks! Cowboy is long overdue.
