Side note, finishing What’s the Story Morning Glory is something I have planned. I’ll be careful not to do any tracks people are currently working on, but when I get to it I’ll try to complete it in full.

January 22, 2017 at 10:41 pm #480472Thank you for Oasis and of course Shaggy. hope there will be more jamaican artist here :0.
January 23, 2017 at 1:37 am #480477From one Michigander to another, thank you Nunchuck for more Seger. Especially one of his greatest songs ever.
Appetite GnR and Oasis are also great adds to the library! One of these days we will finally see Appetite charted in full.
2 years of consistent and amazing content is mindblowing (700!? – WOW!). I have been on board since the beginning and will greatly appreciate anything else you guys are willing to share going forward. I have been in the charting chair many times before and I still have no idea how Sy does as much as he does and with such impressive quality. Not even considering that he does a ton of challenging metal (my favorite genre) charts to boot. Not human!
January 23, 2017 at 9:13 pm #480496Hey there Rockers,
It is Monday again and time for your weekly clues to our next release. We have a special release for you, because this week will reach a milestone for us at the Funhouse: we will celebrate our 2 year Anniversary! I look back, and see how far we have come. When we started our weekly releases, we just wanted to add some songs that we really liked. Oh hell yes, we did that! When C3 stopped its weekly releases, we did our best to pick up that ball and run with it. We have developed a nice following with you peeps. Your support is what has made this all so fun for us. We worked hard every single week to bring you great songs with charts that are fun to play. Songs from many, many genres, difficulties and styles of music. We have done songs from the biggest bands. We have also tried our best to introduce you to things you may have not ever heard. We love this game and all the peeps!!
We would love to thank all our “Peeps”. You are a big reason we are here doing this every single week. Those who have sent pms and posted kindness toward us, we thank you very much. I would also like to thank the crew of “Peeps” that rock the hints every single week. You constantly amaze us with your detective skills. You are our friends and we are so happy to spend this time together every week!!
Ok, that’s enough of that sentimental stuff, let’s get to the rockin’!!!
Hint for song #1
To kick things off proper like, we have a song that reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. This popular track was also nominated for a Grammy. To inspire “girl power”, this artist recorded all the guitar on the album this song comes from, so girls would have a guitar role model.Hint for song #2
Next up, we have a song that featured a sample from a Western film. This super-popular song reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles Chart. It was also nominated from a Grammy and MTV Movie Award. The two artists blended well, giving us gangster rap with smooth R&B vocals, and it made for a memorable track.Hint for song #3
For our 3rd track, we have a power ballad that reached the Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100. This song came from the artist’s fifth studio album, her first recorded primarily in English. The artist has won many awards, including MTV Video Music Awards, Grammy Awards, Latin Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Billboard Latin Music Awards and has been Golden Globe-nominated.Hint for song #4
In the clean-up spot, we have an intoxicating classic that spent 5 weeks atop the Billboard singles chart. The song was a B-side that became much more popular than the A-side of the single. The song has been used many times in popular culture. It may be most remembered as a theme for a famous person arrested for masturbating in public.Hint for song #5
Coming up next, we have another Billboard Top 10 hit. This one coming from a super popular new wave/synthpop band from England. It was the 2nd single from the band’s third studio album. This song had several versions of its music video including a 17 minute “movie version” which has an extended introduction with dialog.Hint for song #6
For this week’s final offering, we have a band that features members of the band from Song #5. This band had a string of hits and became quite successful. Due to the success of the project the lead vocalist recorded his own album and left the group. The group got a new singer and recorded this song for a film featuring a future State Governor.Good luck, not that you brainiacs need luck!!
We had 4 “Big Brains” last week. They got every one correct. Great job!!!
