Hey there Rockers,
Welcome back to the Funhouse! I’m back at full strength today with some clues to our upcoming release. We have a dandy for you this week. Let’s see how the Peeps do with the problem solving. Here we go!

 

Hint for song # 1
To start things off, let’s hit you with a crooner with a big band sound. It is my favorite song from this incredible singer, actor, comedian, and film producer. The song was originally a Spanish song which got English lyrics for this artist’s version. The artist was often seen to be a bit drunken, however, that was partially an act. On stage, he was known to substitute apple juice for liquor in his drinks.

 

Hint for song # 2
Our next act is comprised of two people that left a band they were in together, to form this duo. The song was a teary Top 20 Billboard hit. This song is a great 80’s hit, but it would not have been as popular, if it weren’t for it’s innovative video. The video was so good, the duo ended up morphing into video producers. This Saturday they will get their RB premiere.

 

Hint for song # 3
Our next track was also made more famous by its video’s new-for-the-time computerized effects. In fact, it beat out the King of Pop for the MTV Video of the Year Award. This band has an abundance of Official DLC, but this Top 10 Billboard hit has surprisingly never had a release. That will change on Saturday.

 

We also have a 3 pack for you this week. First, a hint for the band and then 3 song hints.

 

Hint for Band for songs 4, 5 and 6
This band formed in the UK, but were more well-received in the US, with 6 top forty hits. They didn’t like the image their original name painted, so they chose a new name. That new name got a spelling change to avoid people inferring a drug reference.

 

Hint for song # 4
This song, from the band’s debut album, tells the tale of Nuclear fall-out aftermath. It was once performed by the band on Saturday Night Live.

Hint for song # 5
This song’s video got a bit of controversy. At the time, the video was banned from UK showings. It was banned due to an image of a horse falling, which they said looked too much like it was dying.

Hint for song # 6
The final song this week is an album cut from this band’s Platinum second studio album. It also serves as the final track from that well-loved album.

The weekend has finally returned to the Funhouse! This week we have 5 awesome 80’s tracks + the Legendary Dean Martin!

Release Notes

This week starts with Dean Martin – Sway. It is one of Dean best tracks. It just kind of hugs and takes you for a little dance. If you don’t know it give it a listen, it is beautiful. I hope you peeps love it as much as I do.

 

Next is Godley & Creme – Cry. You may recall the video with the morphing faces, if you remember the 80’s or watched I Love the 80’s on Vh1. This song is as classic as 80’s songs get.

 

My last pick this week is The Cars – You Might Think. I’m shocked it hasn’t been official DLC yet. I fully expect it to be one day. But, until then we will have this gem right you for you.

 

The Fixx is a great 80’s band. They had a pure Eighties sound. With this 3 pack, you will have most of their hits and a great chunk of the band’s best work. This is all good stuff, I highly suggest getting all of them.

 

 

We had 4 Big Brains this week. They got all 6 in less than an hour. It was amazing. Great work everyone!!!

Great to see more Fixx songs, but I would strongly disagree about having a great chunk of their best work. Several hits are still missing.
