After a month of gathering up the goodies in the trick or treat bag, dumping everything out and taking a gander at all the awesomely delectable booty collected for Shocktober…..I gotta say you guys really made this a great Halloween. Thanks so much for the cons AND the fun, I for one had a great time with the visual hints and found it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be! ….. Happy Halloween everybody! <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

      Hey there Rockers,
It is Monday and that means it is time for your weekly clues to our upcoming release. You peeps have been on fire with knowledge lately. After a month of lesser-known artists, this week is packed with well-known artists. I won’t waste too much time. Let’s get right to the hints.

      Hint for Song #1
To get the ball rolling this week, we have a duet between two very popular artists; one male, one female. It was featured on both artists’ Greatest Hits anthologies. It was originally released as the 6th single from a 5x platinum album by the male of the duet. He was her opening act on tour. In fact, the live video for the song won an MTV Best Stage Performance award.

      Hint for Song #2
Next up, we have one of my favorite male vocalists ever. This singer, songwriter, poet and novelist is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, both in America and Canada. This is a well-loved song, so much so that it has been covered over 300 times. This is the artist’s debut in RB, although the song has already been released as a custom, only it was a cover. This is the real deal original.

      Hint for Song #3
Our next artist changed his name to a stage name; then, years later, changed it again, this time for religious reasons. This song first appeared in a film with no official soundtrack and wasn’t released until a Greatest Hits anthology album, thirteen years later. If you have been watching the Cubs, you may have heard it in a commercial. This is the artist’s first appearance in RB.

      Hint for Song #4
In the 4th slot, we have one of the biggest hard rock bands ever. This song was the 4th single from the band’s 10th studio album — an album that saw the band in legal trouble twice. First, they were sued over album name by a small rock band of the same name. They won that case. The other case concerned this song, in particular. It resulted in the band giving artists of a similar sounding song partial writing credit for the song.

      Hint for Song #5
The song in the #5 spot is a cover, although most don’t know it is. It had a slightly different title then. It was covered by a cricket and re-titled. When this week’s artist recorded it, he used both titles (one in parenthesis). This artist has been in RB before, both in a band and as a solo artist and is a legend in the music industry.

      Hint for Song #6
Our final track of the week is by a band that has been in RB DLC and on disc. The song comes from their second album. The song was featured in the Adam Sandler film the Wedding Singer. The band was also thanked in the credits of a different film for use of their song title in the film’s title. The song isn’t in the movie at any point, nor was it referenced.

We had 2 “Big Brains” this past week and the two of them got all 6 correct. Great job everyone! It was a great month of hint solving. Let’s see how you do with words this week. We are certain you will rock them.
