I dunno, in the movie, they WERE on a nightmare patrol lol
Besides, I’d think ‘Nightmare Patrol’ would be the more popular song anyway.
Either way……It’s gonna be !
I agree. I really hope I’m on target with Hellraiser, That’s going to be right up there with those songs you always have another bash at. The movies were pretty good too, from memory.
October 4, 2016 at 4:45 am #475774That’s a bullseye with Motorhead’s Hellraiser, I’d bet coin on it.
This one’s a shot in the dark…..#2 Charles Manson – ‘Look at Your Game Girl’

October 8, 2016 at 3:03 pm #475981Hey there Rockers,
The weekend has finally returned to the Funhouse. We are back with Shocktober 2 Week Two. This release contains some really interesting artists and songs. Whether it be a hardcore punk song, a rap song by one of the angriest little men ever, a folk song by a convicted murder conspirator, a infamous punk legend covering a convicted murder conspirator, a thrash metal assault, a haunting prog-rock song, a legend of shock-rock or a Metal God this week has something horrifying in many categories to suit your Rock Band Halloween party. I have went on long enough already. Let’s crank this bad boy up!!!

Release Notes
Wow, this is quite a week! Here’s a short rundown on the songs…
First off, we start with a skate-punk classic. I Saw Your Mommy will not disappoint. It is a challenge, but a very fun challenge. Suicidal Tendencies is classic from the opening bassline to the wild, violent lyrics and it will be a great addition to the Funhouse.
Next up, Charles Manson… I know you are wondering if we have completely lost our minds due to overworking ourselves. This song is catchy and cool. Charlie can’t surf but he wrote a really good song or two. Don’t miss out on this track! Imagine your friends faces as you cue up Charles Manson on Rock Band… Priceless!!!
How can you follow Charles Manson? Well, how about a bonus track from the most infamous punk rocker ever? That is correct — your eyes aren’t fooling you, GG Allin is in Rock Band!! I have wanted to get GG in-game for a while. Now he comes ripping into Rock Band with a cover of a Charles Manson song. Now, that is Shocktober!!!
Just when you thought things were getting safer, we unleash the Geto Boys on you. This track is all vocals by Bushwick Bill. If you don’t know who Bushwick is, he is one of the angriest horror rappers the world has ever seen. This track samples the Child’s Play film a lot. What he lacks in size, he more than makes up for with a razor-tongued rap.
A metal god like Lemmy doesn’t need an introduction. Motörhead rocks the Funhouse with Hellraiser. The song was also recorded by Ozzy Osbourne. The song was used in the movie Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth.
Roses on White Lace is one of the heaviest Alice Cooper tracks ever. This song whooped my ass on guitar. It is a great song, but it is a tough one. If you are looking for a challenge on guitar, this your song.
We also have two more really tough songs, but I don’t know much about them, so I’ll let Sy fill you in on the last tracks.
We had a full rack of correct answers this week on the hints. Truly amazing!!! You peeps rock so hard!!!
Our “Big Brains” this week are as follows…
zimbabwean (3)
rawsewage (1)
Funk Meister Freud (1)
Housequake (1)
You peeps really get my mind and the way it works. I have to say I was so thrilled when I saw that the WNBA pic clue was solved. To tell the truth, I thought I was super-clever with that one, but you got it! Thank you to everybody who played along. Do you want your Ghost icon? You will get your next chance very soon.
Have a great weekend!! We will see you Monday with more hints and fun!!
Remember to Rock Out… Life is Short
October 8, 2016 at 3:59 pm #475983Just a warning, everything that’s devil tiers this week, we mean it for sure. Fitting with the theme last week, there’s tons more tapping in Nightmare Patrol and Roses on White Lace. The Alice Cooper tracks we did last year had good guitar work, for sure, but on Roses on White Lace, Kane Roberts, despite looking like god-damn Rambo, can still play like crazy, and it’s probably his best guitar work with the band.
Hellraiser was a weird song, since if you listen to it, it’s relatively mid-tempo and doesn’t sound challenging at all, but every instrument finds a way to surprise you, with the fast drum fills, guitar solos, and bass chords (and triple chords). Hell, even Lemmy’s vocals are a bit tricky on it.
Phenomena was a movie that we did another song off of the same soundtrack, last year, Flash of the Blade (which actually appears in the movie twice). It’s one of my favorite horror movies of all time, and the theme track by Claudio Simonetti (keyboardist of Goblin, who appeared as the full band on several songs on the soundtrack) is fantastic. It sounds like a mix between Rhapsody of Fire and Castlevania, and features some great guitar, drums, and synth work.
I Saw Your Mommy doesn’t have pitched vocals, since the earlier Suicidal songs weren’t really sung at all. In the tempo changes, the drums get super fast, with some really tricky rhythms and fast fills. Guitar isn’t a slouch, either, and has a decently lengthy solo at the end.
I was honestly surprised how good the Manson track ended up being. His vocal work on it isn’t bad, honestly, and it’s challenging to emulate. Guitar on it isn’t super tricky, but it’s all fast chord changes, for the most part.
Maybe a bit “controversial” of a release, and a bit light on the bonus songs, admittedly, it’s only week two into Shocktober, we have plenty more awesome stuff coming!
October 8, 2016 at 6:43 pm #475990Great stash of treats this week! I really gotta hand it to you guys, the goodies you got goin’ on for Halloween make me wanna just stay here and keep ringing the doorbell. (I just gotta keep that ‘Zimbabwean kid’ from beating me to the door or reaching into my bag and running off with some of it when I ain’t looking). ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Nice job Zimbabwean! 3 of ’em!…. I had thought of Hellraiser but you were already way ahead of me on that one, and when you mentioned “Nightmare Patrol”, I just knew you got me there too! LOL! Outstanding sleuthing, this is what makes it so fun! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
Honestly, me and and Housequake’s last two guesses were ‘shots at the buzzer’…didn’t know if they’d be good, but with no options left….
‘launch and let fly’….just glad we got net! Thank you fellas for all the work the two of you do to make it all fun and games for us!
October 8, 2016 at 7:27 pm #475994By the way, Cubs win game one of NLDS!!!!
Everybody play Go Cubs Go and Help the Cubbies to victory!!!

October 8, 2016 at 8:00 pm #475996I ain’t big on MLB, but if it’s for your team…..I got’cher back, homie! Good Luck Cubs! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
October 8, 2016 at 9:19 pm #475998It don’t get more punk than G.G. Allin. Surprised to see the Charles Manson song pop up. Great releases!
October 9, 2016 at 6:04 am #476017Awesome stuff guys. Thank you, especially for Suicidal and Motorhead.
October 10, 2016 at 4:58 am #476084You guys have spoiled us again, thank you especially for Motorhead and Alice Cooper.
To the Seahawk supporter:
You, sir, are at a disadvantage. I’m the lucky Zimbabwean who made it to NZ. And NZ is first in the world for stuff like sunrise and Christmas and things. Hence, I get first dibs at THIS forum (I see things before they are posted….), but tell you what I’ll do: I’ll split Mekong Delta with you..
And of course, Go Cubs Go
October 10, 2016 at 5:07 am #476085Yes now that my beloved Texas Rangers are eliminated, the Cubs are my team to root for
