July 11, 2016 at 8:40 pm #471842Hey there Rockers,
It is Monday and that means it is time for some clues to our next release. We have six singles coming your way this Saturday. Let’s see who the “Big Brains” are this week.Hints for song #1
– To start things off this week, we have a legendary artist with one of his best songs. This optimistic song came when the artist was expecting his first child. It contains piano by a keyboard legend. It also has one of the most famous stutters in rock history.
Hints for song #2
– Our second track this week won an Oscar for Best Song in a Film and a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song. The song was written with Burt Bacharach and sometimes played with the film’s star on piano. This soft rock classic was a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.Hints for song #3
– Next up, this re-imagining of one of my favorite songs was released this year as a single. It features an intense video filmed backward, starting at the end and running to the beginning. The song was transformed from a beautiful love song into anguished song of betrayal. This hatchet-toting rapper uses his haunting singing voice very well in this song.Hints for song #4
– In the 4th slot this week we have a band that has seen several songs make to RB. This was their highest-charting hit. It hit #4 on Billboard Hot 100. Somehow Frank Zappa, Suzi Quatro cassettes and this song all go together. The keyboard riff was taken from a jazz song.Hints for song #5
– Next, we have a duet from a film that starred the female singer in this song. The male part comes from a brother in one of music’s most famous families. In the film, the male lead lip-synched the male part of the song. The movie featured a guitar-shaped spaceship, a rocket telephone booth and a Battle of the Bands.Hints for song #6
– Our final song this week comes from this cross-over thrash band’s debut album. The singer dressed in skeleton outfits and Yankees uniforms, while two guitarists were exchanging riffs and solo-ing back and forth. Almost certainly, the song is about famous Clint Eastwood roles.Let’s see who is gonna show off their trivia skills this week? Is it YOU?

I was close to the edge of getting that one…
July 11, 2016 at 9:57 pm #471850Well #2 has to be either “Arthur’s Theme” or “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head” – I’m gonna bet rcale is correct because Dudley Moore is a pianist ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

Then we will be one final song away from completing the Christopher Cross essential collection of masterworks playable in Rock Band.
(“Sailing”…of COURSE!)
July 12, 2016 at 9:36 am #471860Surely you wouldn’t leave out “No Time for Talk”?

Surely you wouldn’t leave out “No Time for Talk”?
Or (heaven forbid) “Never be the same”, “Think of Laura” and “Say you’ll be mine”……..
Still wrackin’ the noggin trying to figure out what hint #3 could possibly be.
