NunchuckMemberHey there Rockers,
Happy Monday. We have a sweet week coming up for you. You peeps have been rockin’ the hints lately, let’s see how you do this week. Here are your clues…
Hint for Song #1 – To start things off this week, we have a song that gained popularity after being featured on MTV’s Beavis & Butthead. After a good run as vocalist for a popular punk band, this vocalist formed his own band. This is that band’s most well-known song. It is fully Beavis approved.
Hint for Song #2 -Our next offering is a song that was a #1 US Modern Rock Track on Billboard. The song was a mainstay on rock radio. It was from the band’s major label debut album. The song itself told the story of a “Dear John” letter.
Hint for Song #3 – Next we have a song that a lot of people think is either Counting Crows or Blues Traveler. It is neither. It is a popular radio-rock song with southern roots sound. The band was named after a nun that helped street people, the singer saw in a PSA years before. This was their biggest most well-known song.
Hint for Song #4 – For our next track, a popular song from a fan favorite punk act. The song was the fourth single from this band’s platinum fourth album. The song contains a literary reference to a JD Salinger short story.
Hint for Song #5 – This band had several hits in their homeland of the UK, but in the US this song was their only hit, but it was a big hit. The song, from an alternative dance band, reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on Alternative chart. It was also featured in Donkey Konga!
Hint for Song #6 – To close the show this week, we have a lesser-known grunge band from Seattle. The song is from the band’s second and final studio album. The song was also used in SegaCD’s Road Rash.
We’ll see ya Saturday. Have safe week!
