November 16, 2015 at 3:18 pm #459371What typical song choices… but very good ones, too.
November 16, 2015 at 3:23 pm #459373Just my kind of week. Like I was saying on Reddit, I love the sound of Riptide and have for months, but never bothered to look up the lyrics or pay attention to them. I’m weird like that…
November 16, 2015 at 3:49 pm #459375just out of curiosity, which ones of these were customs?
November 16, 2015 at 3:52 pm #459376I think both Sing and Riptide were available.

And “Shut Up and Dance” as well.
Good, “poppy” week!

Quick anectdote: I spent a couple of hours over the weekend cleaning up the custom of “Riptide” (I posted it to the DB on Saturday…hence taken down, of course). The official video of the song actually has a scene in it where they superimpose the lyrics on the screen; the joke in the video is that while the actual lyrics of that part of the song are “You’re gonna sing the words wrong”, the video shows the (intentionally wrong) lyrics of “She done sank the world’s wolf”.
Sure enough…the original author of the custom included the “She done sank the world’s wolf” nonsensical lyrics into the song; I didn’t even notice until I playtested it before publication.
At least I got a cheap laugh out of it.
But yeah…having listened to it a few dozen times while working on it over the weekend…it’s a super catchy hook.
November 16, 2015 at 5:25 pm #459384R.I.P. three perfectly good customs. R.I.P. my keys and pro keys charts. now i know how it feels.
November 16, 2015 at 7:56 pm #459389In other news, anglebracket has invited everyone to a party at her place, so we can all still enjoy her keys charts.

So that’s what those lyrics are about. I know sometimes song lyrics can sound like something different but I was wondering why that was way off. My girlfriend brought it up one night we were playing the custom, she was like, wait what’s this about wolves? Ha!
November 29, 2016 at 8:22 pm #478253If this isn’t the perfect example of a delayed reaction joke, I don’t know what is.
It took an entire year, but by God, somebody found it funny.
