So, it’s gonna be a while, but to round up the festivities weeks, we’re gonna release the January 3rd pack on December 31st and it’s gonna be a strictly disco/dance pack to dance to that night. To be clear, this is not a big C3 collaboration project, but it’s gonna have as I said a special release day.
I’m gonna do a 3-pack which can stand alone on that day, but I’m making it public because I would welcome any disco/dance songs. We rarely see them released and I think some authors are interested in doing those. I’ve already done the songs for the pack, and they are:
Gloria Gaynor – I Will Survive
Donna Summer – Hot Stuff
The Weather Girls – It’s Raining Men
The only requisite for the songs is that they must be disco or dance songs, any era.
October 24, 2013 at 10:24 pm #408449I approve of this. If I don’t manage to finish my Daft Punk stuff before then for whatever reason I might release it then if you are all okay with that (though I hope to finish it up sooner).
October 24, 2013 at 11:28 pm #408452Daft Punk sounds awesome. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
October 25, 2013 at 12:54 am #408455I wonder how many of us had to live through the “I Hate Disco” era like I had to. My favorite scene from “Airplane” was when the plane cut down the tower of the Disco station. Classic! I doubt I can contribute whole songs given my schedule for the rest of this year, but here’s a few I’d like to see:
Knock on Wood – Amii Stewart
More More More – Andrea True Connection
Rock the Boat – Hues Corporation
Off the Wall – Michael Jackson
October 30, 2013 at 9:10 pm #408664I’ve delayed “Superman” by Black Lace so it can be included in this pack. I also think this pack so far is skimping on trance, so why not do something people will recognize? I will attempt to do two versions of “Sandstorm” by Darude.
October 31, 2013 at 12:16 am #408672I’m gonna take this chance to address a larger “issue”. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> And issue is in quotes because it’s not a big deal but something that I just wanted to explain.
When we do packs, balance is important. In example, let’s say we start a California pack with California Girls, California Dreaming and California Soul (btw, it’s gonna happen). Then, submissions pour in and we get like 4 death metal songs, 2 obscure alternative folk songs, 1 videogame, 2 novelty songs, etc. We end up with a 12-pack that has still only 3 known songs and the rest has drowned those 3. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> Specifically I’m referring to the two versions you wanna do but it’s truly just an example, I’m fine with you doing it and it’s not like you are a main offender (Superman is in fact that incredibly fitting song for the pack). But we need to be aware that we need a bit of balance to avoid having a pack that starts out with a great impact potential and ends up being a bit watered down. This is surely gonna be read as “We don’t want your stinking songs!” but please read again what I’ve written and know that it is just a way to communicate how I think packs work better. And it’s ok if anybody wants to contribute 5 hardcore songs, I just wanted to explain what’s the best way to work for a pack *if you’re undecided*. If you already have in mind exactly what you want to do, go ahead and do it. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”> I’m amazed at how we work as a group honestly so it’s all good, just a bit of direction on my part. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
November 5, 2013 at 2:50 am #408873Okay, I’ve talked to Farottone through Skype, but just so everyone knows I’m doing “Mamma Mia” by ABBA for this pack.

November 25, 2013 at 5:10 pm #409707Hey guys.
So I discussed this a bit in the Skype chat a while ago about making a visualizer theme for this release since Nemo is unable to do it. I tried to come up with something simple and not too confusing.
I’m not sure whether we want to use this or not, but I just thought I’d let you guys know what it looks like and such. It works perfectly in the visualizer part of Le Fluffie, so I thought I’d also include a download link just in case anyone else wants to give it a spin. https://www.mediafire.com/?ewlk4r3m3hoyb33 You can use this in your visualizer by dropping these png files into the res folder of Le Fluffie.
So yeah, let me know your feedback, and I’d love it if we were able to use this (or something like it) for this pack.
Thanks. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
November 27, 2013 at 11:00 pm #409877I dig it! I like this trend of holiday Visualizer themes. Adds a lot of flavor.
December 5, 2013 at 5:34 pm #410199Alright, I’m here to disappoint some ABBA fans ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
I said I would do “Does Your Mother Know” for this pack on Skype a while back, but that’s not going to happen unfortunately. Some things have come up, and December will be pretty busy for me, and since I haven’t got a lot done I’m thinking I will not be able to complete it in time.
Since this is a dance pack, I’m going to contribute a song that I’ve almost finished instead.
Meddle by Little Boots. It was a song in DC2 that I really enjoyed, hence the almost finished custom that I will now finish.
