    Good morning, everyone!

I’m new to this game, and I quickly realized that I am not going to be able to utilize CON Tools. I have read a few people talking about loading songs on their USBs while using a Mac or another Apple product. Any suggestions on an Emulator or VM I should use in order to run CON Tools? Would love to play custom songs, but I no longer have a PC that runs windows.

    Thanks in advance!

Searching for Emulators yields all sorts of results. There is a Top 10.. Boot Camp, Wine Bottler (which I believe does not work with CON Tools or at least that is the impression I get on this Forum), WinOnX, etc… I just wasn’t sure if there was a Forum Member that has all ready went through this process and would be willing to lend some advice or helping hand through their process.

Crazy thing is … I have Boot Camp Assistant already on my computer from 2010. Must have started this process a long time ago and never finished it. Still would like suggestions from anyone who has already gone through this process.

I have not. Right now, I’m running through the process of using Boot Camp on my MacBook Pro to install Windows. I will have Windows 8… then I may be able to run the CON Tools program. Good thing I had a bunch of spare usb drives laying around

There’s nothing better than a VM if you want to run Windows other than on a second boot sector. Wine does a decent job but it’s just an emulator.

I don’t know the VMs available for Macs, but assuming the VM you’ll try works as advertised it should be fine, you don’t need anything fancy other than being able to put files in that VM and take them out.

hmmm… i feel it like so many incompatibilities within VM’s

but like C3ConTools are really worked with Virtualbox for me i tried…

There’s incompatibilities with hardware more than anything, I don’t think I’ve had any actual software issue, assuming I’m giving the VM the ressources it needs to do whatever I tell it to do, on Windows that is, so on Mac it could be a different experience I guess.

One thing for sure, a VM will be better than an emulator.
