Have convinction in what you say: don’t delete your thoughts just because people disagree with you. If you think you’re right, debate them. If you call people out telling them they are too lazy to decipher harmonies after they probably worked on a song 10 to 15 hours, own it.

I probably would have if I was more passionate about the subject at the time. I had written this thread a week or two before, when I had actually played die young by Kesha. So the mindset I was in when I wrote it wasn’t there anymore. I could have gone and posted updated vocals versions of every song I wanted to do, but instead I decided to make a thread about it asking authors to try to do better. Because it was something that I felt as a harmonies singer, should be taken care of. There’s a difference between thinking there’s another part at the same time vs knowing. And it’s the knowing I would have liked to have seen changed for a more authentic harmonies experience.

If I could, I’d go through all the songs I know and like that do not include unisons or octaves where there should be and release them (if need be vocals only) myself.

Someone created a gift for you and you tell them they were too lazy to make it the right shade of blue. That sort of entitlement really motivates authors to create more for such obviously grateful people.

 

It’s a gift that you stumbled across, you don’t bitch about its imperfection you thank the person who saved you the trouble of creating it yourself. If you don’t like the chart, PM the author, change it yourself or delete the song, but telling authors who take time out of their lives to give you ANYTHING Rock Band-related is simply a slap in the face.
