August 2, 2013 at 7:36 pm #403916*Nerdgasm* Mario, MGS, Silent Hill… Zelda! You, kinda sir, are awesome. The only thing that’s really missing for me is some classic Resident Evil creepiness. But many kudos to you. ^^
I was actually surprised going into the movie themes that “Halloween” wasn’t there. Kind of expected it to be one of the more popular themes.
Funny I actually made my own custom of the title sequence of Resident Evil 1, where the guy runs down the hall and screams, and then when you push start that deep voice goes “RESIDENT…EVIIIIIILLLLLL” haha but that one was just more for me as one of my first tester customs, but I’ll upload it if anyone wants it but it’s so stupid it was just for me really haha. But yeah some ingame Resident Evil 1 songs like the main hall and the other rooms I’ve considered.
Whatever happened to that mario mix you said you had started?I never started it but yes that is one of the few video game ones of the initial ones I have left and it’s either that or Silent Hill 1 I’ll do. I pump these out pretty quick so it shouldn’t be too long ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
August 2, 2013 at 8:03 pm #403918I can never get tired of Silent Hill if your still motivated to do them. Love the songs with Mary McGlynn singing.
August 3, 2013 at 4:15 am #403951UPDATE 8/2/13 – Another one from Star Wars Episode IV, this one “Binary Sunset”. This isn’t one of the more popular well known tracks but it was one of my faves from the movie I wanted to do and thought I’d share. This plays in the movie when Luke is at his homestead looking out into the distance gazing at the 2 setting suns. great orchestral arrangement and. It has all instruments except drums and a vocal track to follow along.

I know most of’em, at least from RE2, are real heavy piano.. But it’s almost soothing instead of creepy.
August 4, 2013 at 6:22 am #404033Haha ok here it is, it’s by far the stupidest custom you’ll ever play. It was really supposed to be a tester to figure out how to chart, this was the first thing I ever did haha not even gonna bother putting this one on the front page cause it’s so dumb but a hardcore RE1 fan might find it funny. Maybe down the road I’ll do some in-game stuff, I have all the soundtracks so finding the tracks wouldn’t be an issue.
August 6, 2013 at 3:13 am #404126UPDATE 8/5/13 – This is a cool one. The original Super Mario Brothers Theme. Everyone knows this song and game. We might not be playing Rock Band if it weren’t for this game. This is a semi-mashup of the theme. It includes the main theme when in the regular levels, but also includes the music when you are underground, in the water levels, and when you die and get game over. All instruments including a vocal track. The guitar and keys are very similar, but bass is quite different. Have fun.
August 6, 2013 at 6:40 pm #404147Yeah keep posted for a second version of the Mario Bros song, he’s gonna add some features to it.
August 7, 2013 at 5:32 am #404189AnonymousHm… Awesome . I’m already getting the Halo Theme Song cause Halo is awesome~!
August 7, 2013 at 5:40 am #404190Here’s an update on my version of the Super Marios Bros. song.
After 12 hours non-stop, I’ve finished modifying the chart…let that sink in. 12 hours of handling this chart to get to where I’m happy with it
Right now it’s expert-only and missing in-game testing. Tomorrow (wednesday) i’m pretty busy, so I probably won’t have EMH done (i.e. won’t release the song) until Thursday.
What you’re getting:
– improved audio
– improved charts, separating each instrument better
– animations for all players
– removed vocals chart (there are no vocals in this song…)
– custom practice sessions with the name of each world theme (i.e. Overworld, Underworld, Waterworld, Star Power)
– custom venue / camera / lighting to hopefully match the different parts of the game
– re-done metadata to more accurately reflect the song info…I know MrMet prefers the Video Games sorting, I don’t, you can have both songs or change it however you want
– lower difficulties
– redone overdrive and unison markers and drum fills
Considering the amount of changes I would suggest having both MrMet’s version and mine, since his is most likely more “fun” while I tried to make mine more “accurate” (not really possible considering the entire thing was recording with an electronic keyboard in 1985, but hey, I tried).
I love this game so much MrMet forced me back into charting after I had retired from it…can’t wait to play this!
August 7, 2013 at 5:48 am #404192Haha it’s funny you used that picture for the album artwork I came *this* close to using that one instead.
And like Trojan said, I’m sure all of you have noticed but my songs are more for the “fun” factor instead of accuracy. For example, I will most of the time put a vocal track to play along with when obviously this song has no vocals. Also, all my overdrives are unison bonuses to make it easier to gold star. I’m sure his version is equally as awesome though so I suggest keeping both.
August 7, 2013 at 4:49 pm #404198AnonymousI don’t mind them being for ‘fun’. I don’t really care too much for accuracy… Actually, the custom I’ve been working on probably isn’t fully accurate though I try my best to stay extremely close to the song.
August 9, 2013 at 1:34 am #404306August 9, 2013 at 2:21 am #404309Awesome. Thanks for EMH
August 9, 2013 at 4:29 am #404315UPDATE 8/8/13 – This one was from a 1994 album based off the video game called “Mortal Kombat the Album”, which had one song for each character of the game, and also this song which was used and became more popular after use in the movie from Mortal Kombat. It’s called “Techno Syndrome” If you’ve seen the movie, it’ll sound familiar. All Instruments, bass was kinda hard to pick up but I tried.
August 9, 2013 at 4:39 am #404316Guys, I’m going to ask nicely the first time. I had to go through the thread and edit a bunch of posts full of youtube videos for requests.
Stop posting requests on here. There is a Requests board for a reason. No need to spam MrMets thread with so many videos.
