UPDATE 7/20/13 – The opening theme to Metal Gear Solid 2 “Main Theme”. This plays in the intro cinematic before the main menu. The drums were pretty hard to nail down what’s what, so it has a basic beat to it but also is pretty difficult. Guitar follows orchestra. Keys follow as much of the backing synth that I could distinguish, Bass follows a little bit of both. Also there’s a vocal track with it that follows along with the orchestra of the song.
July 21, 2013 at 9:53 am #403332Thanks for the MGS2 theme. Cant wait to play it next time I fire up my custom drive. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
Days later: I played the MGS2 theme song on Pro Drums and it was quite fun. I was expecting for the military snare rolls at the end of the song to have those troll lanes. The ending seems a bit undercharted but its still satisfying.
July 23, 2013 at 6:44 am #403391UPDATE – 7/23/13 – A pretty big one that I know a few people here asked me for, which I planned on doing anyways, this one from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. “Snake Eater”. This is the song that plays at the beginning of the game during the intro cinematic. (And also later in the game when doing that annoying 3 minute climb up the ladder you can’t skip). The song has a very Bond-like sound to it. It has all instruments. Guitar follows the orchestra/ piano in the beginning and then stays only with guitar. Keys follow piano/orchestra. The vocals are done very well and are very fun to play. All around an awesome song for anyone who loves the franchise. I put a lot of work into this one, I dare say it may be my best customs vocally anyways, and I think it came out great so I hope everyone enjoys.
July 23, 2013 at 7:06 am #403392Yes, we got Goldfinger! I mean Snake Eater. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
July 26, 2013 at 1:12 am #403499UPDATE – 7/25/13 – This one from Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance “Skateboarding Theme” this plays during the bonus skateboarding levels. The sound quality isn’t as good as my other songs but it’s not terrible. It has all instruments and a vocal track to follow along with. As the visualizer shows, rhythm guitar is on Keys, it follows the same parts as the lead most of the time, with a few exceptions like during the solo. It’s a fun one to play I think.
July 26, 2013 at 8:23 am #403511Listening to the skateboarding theme really takes me back to the early 00’s when Skateboarding videogames were very popular. I played Tony Hawk religiously until around the 4th game came out in the series.
July 28, 2013 at 2:06 am #403601UPDATE 7/27/13 This one is from the game “Mirror’s Edge” this one is Lisa Miskovsky’s “Still Alive”. This plays in game and the end on the rooftop and during the credits. Also a derivative of this song plays at the main menu. It has all instruments. I charted harmonies of what I could actually distinguish, but it was hard seeing as how I don’t have multitracks. Guitar follows a little bit of piano, harp, and guitar. Bass follows bass and harp. Keys follow keys. Also I should note I decided to go against my own grain on this one and NOT use the Video Game artist for this one. So the artist is listed under Lisa Miskovsky
July 31, 2013 at 6:07 am #403723UPDATE 7/31/13 – This one is from Silent Hill 4:The Room – “Room of Angel”. This plays during the main menu if you keep the controller idle for a while and the trailer plays, also in game when you start a new game (but without words in the game) and when Cynthia dies. It has all instruments including harmonies charted to the best of my abilities from what I could figure out and hear. Guitar follows keys and some strings. Bass follows a main bass flow based off the keys. drums are extremely easy and kinda boring but it’s there. I’ve yet to test so if there’s any issues please make me aware. Enjoy.
ALSO for anyone who wants it to be sorted by the real artist name and wants to fix it in LeFluffie, the actual artist name is Akira Yamaoka
August 2, 2013 at 2:42 am #403839UPDATE 8/1/13 – Decided to move away from video games for 1 song, which is this one. John Williams STAR WARS!!!!! “20th Century Fox Fanfare / Main Title”. This starts out the the famous drum roll Fox jingle, and then leads into the Main Title for every Star Wars movie when the big STAR WARS appears on screen. It has all instruments including a vocal track. I think it came out ok but I’ll admit this isn’t my best work. It was very hard to tempo map and difficult to chart but when I played 1 instrument it seemed to come out ok. Again, nit my best, but it is playable and doesn’t suck. Enjoy!

EDIT: It appears in my haste and excitement of completing this song I spelled “century” wrong in the song title. Ill try and get a fixed version up there soon. But if not its easily fixable in LeFluffie.
August 2, 2013 at 6:04 am #403841Star Wars? I wasnt expecting that. Very cool!
August 2, 2013 at 6:58 am #403845Haha I figured no one would expect that haha but I have a bunch of weird things like that on my to do list which aren’t game related. Will maybe do a few more Star Wars songs but I have some other soundtracks I wanna do.
August 2, 2013 at 2:58 pm #403881Unfortunately to both your posts I’ve never seen “Repo” and I’ve never played a castelevania game lol castelevania was never my thing ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” /> sorry.
August 2, 2013 at 6:21 pm #403898I’ve never shared but eventually the title theme for Silent Hill 1 will be done, probably will be the next thing I do but I haven’t decided yet. Then some movie soundtrack songs but actual scores from films instead of songs written for movies, kinda like the “Escape From New York” theme I did. But from what I see in my folder I think the video game stuff is winding down unless I decided to add a few which I might. I only put things in there that I REALLY wanted to do, which I’m almost done with so I might add some more video game stuff to the list.
August 2, 2013 at 6:36 pm #403899*Nerdgasm* Mario, MGS, Silent Hill… Zelda! You, kinda sir, are awesome. The only thing that’s really missing for me is some classic Resident Evil creepiness. But many kudos to you. ^^
I was actually surprised going into the movie themes that “Halloween” wasn’t there. Kind of expected it to be one of the more popular themes.
August 2, 2013 at 6:38 pm #403900Whatever happened to that mario mix you said you had started?
