Yeah these are pretty simple to do believe it or not, SPEAKING of which Update 6/24/13 here’s another one. Silent Hill 2. This one is “Stairs Of Fire” This plays in game when you last speak to Angela and she walks away up the stairs of fire. Guitar and Bass AND a vocal track to follow along with. Guitar switches back and forth between the piano and strings an the chimes in the middle. Bass follows the piano all the way through. and vocals follows the basic melody of the song. Enjoy. I love SH music if you can’t tell. I do these just for me but figured I’d share, hope someone else out there is enjoying it as much as me

My only gripe is that it is way too easy to gold star the songs. I believe you chart too much OD sections in the songs. This is very apparent in “Letter From Heaven” as you can go through the whole song in OD. Even though these songs are obviously not there for challenge on guitar it would still be more satisfying to hear the gold star chime kick in when you nearly FC the song with a good OD path.
So, are you planning on mainly doing stuff from the PS1-era and beyond, or will we possibly see stuff from the NES/SNES/Sega Genesis era? Just as a curiosity. I appreciate that someone is doing any VG-work like this though man!
I Have a semi-mix of the Mario Brothers NES theme that covers all the area’s, underwater, star power, death and game over I might do soon.
Also can someone test this for me, this is a 2X Bass Pedal Version of “Painkiller” from Rock Band 2 I did here at my laptop at work but can’t test. I compiled all the original files from the Big export pack of RB2 in a new file in LeFluffie for the first time so I have no idea if I did it right. I changed the SongID and everything else so it shouldn’t overwrite the RB2 version, if someone could download this and test both that would be great and let me know if they both still are intact, single kick and double kick versions. what I don’t like from what you’ve done is you’re charting keys to guitar? why not to keys? even if not pro keys, 5-lane keys makes more sense than guitar.

Because every time I do 5 lane keys it says “Cannot find part Real Keys” If I block it out in Reaper before building the MID. Even though i mute out the Real Keys part before building the MID and I uncheck pro keys in the C3 Magma. And then I got a bunch of alerts that I have overdrives from measure 5.1 to 6.1 in Keys but not real keys, but it’s totally there and matches up perfectly in all 4 real key parts. If there’s a way to do Part Keys, WITHOUT needing to do any of the real keys I’d do it. But so far I haven’t, and I can’t even successfully fake pro keys even. Can you tell me what I might be doing wrong? PM me if needed to cause trust me ok these silent bill songs I’d prefer to do keys and leave Pro Alone. If you could upload 4 fake pro key MID’s I can use I’ll use those or gimme a step by step what I need to do after having a full 5 lane chart, I’ll do it.
OK I think I got it. I uploaded the “stairs of fire” from SH2 with a Keys track I think. If anyone wants to check it out and try it and let me know if it works I’d be appreciative.

Painkiller (2X bass pedal) now shows up on my setlist but the album art is blank white and when trying to play it the song just skips and goes back to the setlist. Your getting warmer.

extracted and looked at your songs.dta and folder structure and everything looks spot on. should be working fine.OK Thanks, yeah the folder under the songs in the root said painkiller2xbass, but didn’t match the songs/painkiller/painkiller, so i added 2xbass at the end of each. that’s the last thing I changed so I assumed that would make the difference. So painkiller does work.

Funny I didn’t think there’d be much love for MGS1 stuff besides the obvious like The Best Is Yet to Come. Didn’t expect people to like the ingame stuff. and YES actually that’s in the future projects folder for sure
