September 14, 2013 at 8:21 pm #406207These are NOT up to RBN 2.0 or C3 or GHtoRB3 standards. And also please note that EVERY Conversion I do will from this point forward will also be missing the following features:
So basically, what you’re saying is you have zero intention of truly improving and putting out quality work?

September 15, 2013 at 12:21 am #406222On my GH conversions, no. And even on my own personal customs they don’t have E-H, no venue, and the charts are far from “accurate”, and loaded with 50 overdrives. I play for the fun factor, not for accuracy. So for the GH conversions, I don’t have the effort or drive on these conversions to add features, and honestly don’t think I’d be very accurate at doing them, especially not Pro Keys. I just want the songs in any capacity with basic instrumentation and charts, since GHtoRB3 won’t be doing anymore at this point. Again, as mentioned in the disclaimer, these were just for me and mine, but I’m sharing cause I know there’s some people out there who give as little shits as I do about certain features, and just want to play the song. As soon as someone comes out with better versions, mine are going bye-bye. Some people consider that better than nothing, but others don’t and I understand and don’t begrudge.

I totally agree and really appreaciate your work in getting these songs out there for people to play. Would I like a keys part on Sympathy for the Devil…sure….but at least we have a playable version of the song in RB now. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Thanks again for the converts and for any future ones that you do.
September 16, 2013 at 9:43 pm #406322I would definitely re-download these GHtoRB conversions (already got some of them) if they were made into multi-tracks and/or cleaned up! Hint hint ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

I definitely think that just having a playable version of a great song is better than no version at all. And if someone with the drive & know how wants to build on your work, all the better. I’ve been looking into learning to chart myself, but I am having a very rough time understanding the process. I love that you’re tackling some of the GH stuff. So many great tunes left undone IMO. Being a huge Van Halen fan myself, I was so excited that the GHtoRB3 guys were planning to bring all those iconic songs to RB3 (the GH:VH game engine was outdated before it was even released). Sadly we only got a handful of those tracks before the abrupt “hiatus” of the project. But again, a few classic VH songs are certainly better than none. I am still holding out hope that the GHtoRB3 project will start up again in some form or another. Either by the original group or the C3 guys, or maybe by a newer batch of authors like yourself (perhaps a combination of all 3 of those sources). In any case, thanks again for sharing your work man. The Stones & Aerosmith songs were right up my alley. Any chance that you might try your hand at some of the VH stuff (sorry, but I had to ask)?

This.
Thank you very much for this Aerosmith & Stones songs and I also would like very much to have the rest of the GH:VH songs converted. This is not a request, It’s only a suggestion, you convert which songs you want, of course.
September 18, 2013 at 8:11 pm #406412You’re welcome guys. I just did this for me at first but I’m glad I decided to share. I took a look at Van Halen song list, and I think that most of the ones I like are already done, but I still need to match up what’s been converted already to what’s not been and decide.

I swear that if I ever figure out how to, I’ll finish converting the rest of the songs from that game. There’s still quite a few of my fav’s that have yet to be converted over (Mean Street, Romeo Delight, Little Guitars…oh hell I love ’em all). Not to mention the dozens of other VH tracks that were never even in the the game. Oh, and then there is the entire ‘KISS – Rock Band’ game that never existed that I would have to make a reality. Just like this week’s blog post speaks about, we all have that one band. For me it was KISS that introduced me to the world of Rock & Roll and changed my life forever when I saw them at Madison Square Garden in 1979 (I was 11, and yes I’m old) .
September 19, 2013 at 11:52 pm #406509UPDATE 9/18/13 – 4 more Guitar Hero converts:
Duke Spirit- “Send A Little Love Token”
http://www.mediafire.com/download/vsln2 … Met_rb3con
Red Rider – “Lunatic Fringe”
http://www.mediafire.com/download/119sd … Met_rb3con
Lily Allen – “Take What You Take”
A note on this one – I added the backing vocals, the part where she goes “What The Fuck do you know?” and sections like that to solo vocals, and didn’t do harmonies. Didn’t want to fully do harmonies, so just added it to solo vocals. If you don’t like it, sorry, these are for me, not with other players in mind.

The Rolling Stones – “Honky Tonk Women”
Added some of the missing lyrics to sing, but the sound file is still edited.
September 20, 2013 at 9:10 am #406526Yay for APC and Saliva. Been waiting for someone to do a few more conversions. One o’ these days I may actually learn how to do this. Very nice. ^^
September 20, 2013 at 2:21 pm #406531Thanks for Honky Tonk Women!
September 20, 2013 at 2:51 pm #406536Wow, Holy Home-Run Batman!! I’ve been wanting to play “Honky Tonk Women” in RB since RB1 was released, so this one has been at the top of my wishlist for six years! Also picking up “Lunatic Fringe”, another rock radio classic from back in the day. I’m not too familiar with the other tracks but as always, I will check them out. Nice going (again) MrMet, thanks so much.
September 20, 2013 at 7:44 pm #406565As always your doing a killer job MrMet. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
