Can I move custom song packs to my HD without fearing any sort of repercussion?
Also how do I make the midi playback sound occur in Reaper for the vocal tracks?
Yes you can.
You use the C3 template. Look it up, use it.
Just keep in mind once you start mixing DLC and customs on the same hard drive, it’ll be difficult to play online with TU5 unless you keep a list of what is what so you don’t press to play a custom while on TU5…
I see, though I don’t ever swap to online because it seems to frequently corrupt my gamesave. However, thank you for being a boss and answering my qualms
also, I would still have to have the USB in yes? with the TU4?
Because unptached rockband isn’t sufficient?
You can run without a title update but animations etc won’t work
You can just copy TU4 to your hard drive though anyhow
Ah I see. But what about my save progress?
You can put anything you want on the hard drive. Title updates, save files, the audio/video calibration file, CONs and packs… anything. USB sticks are recommended because they’re easier to swap out, which makes going between TU4 and customs, and TU5 and online play, much less of a hassle. But if you don’t ever plan on playing on TU5 again, or if like me you have multiple hard drives and only plan on playing online very occasionally, then it might make more sense to put stuff on a hard drive. Just be careful about save files attached to XBox Live accounts. All the accounts I use to play customs are local, non-Live accounts.
Eh, while customs upload scores on TU5, I don’t believe there is a huge risk to playing customs on a live account, I have some scores uploaded for custom harmony/pro upgrades and not had issues
