So I spent a long time trying to figure out this error but I have found no answer or problem so its time to ask you wonerful, helpful people in the community…
The errors are Double note-off 88, [40:4:240] and Double note-on 64, [40:4:120] on countless parts and times.
Can someone please help and explain to me what this is and how I can find and fix it?
Thank you in advance!!! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
June 14, 2018 at 9:52 pm #498721Maybe you have a note on top of another note, covering said note. Hence, double notes. You will have to inspect each one, by deleting the note and seeing if there is one underneath, and zoom in as close as possible if that second it just a tiny sliver.
June 14, 2018 at 10:13 pm #498722Best way to see what’s exactly going on is using the MIDI event table (Alt+3) in the piano roll. To revert back to your normal piano roll it’s either Alt+1 or Alt+2 depending on what you’re used to.
June 14, 2018 at 10:13 pm #498723If you have to copy and paste notes, don’t forget to quantize. I rarely use the paste command. Another way to copy notes is to highlight, hold CTRL and left click-drag the notes to the destination then they will conform to the grid without making ‘double notes’.

I tried some of your suggestions. And couldn’t get it to compile.

June 23, 2018 at 4:12 pm #498941Thanks for the respones but how do I quantnize something. Right now I am focusing on the drum track. So I copied the note from the drum track in the midi and put them in the respectable sections like kick and snare ect.
Thanks.
June 23, 2018 at 4:55 pm #498943You quantize by being in the midi editor and pressing Q. You will get a prompt with some options. Make sure it doesn’t create a marker, messing up your tempo map.
June 23, 2018 at 11:08 pm #498952I tried and it made no difference. I tell you the comiler is amazing but sometimes never does what you want it to do. I think Im just going to trash the project and start a new one and make sure I do everything properly. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> Thank you all for your help and suggestion. As always I have learned from my mistakes.
