May 31, 2013 at 2:40 pm #400313Shout-out to EvilCornbread for mimicking the deadly strobe effect in Friday I’m In Love’s music video.

Cool to see so far that people like it. (I was worried the trippy trails effect might have been too much)
May 31, 2013 at 3:40 pm #400317Yeah all credit to DeathThreatUK for that. I like the spin-around at the start too. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

I was trying to do it well, but I’m still getting used to how directed shots work, (i.e. fretboard camera views, the spin-around bit, the ‘YEAH!’ animation) particularly with the timing as some of them refuse to end before a certain time, making accurate timing impossible without audition mode (I don’t have XNA)

Ohay, Radioactive. Yay for some Alternative!
May 31, 2013 at 5:25 pm #400323Neato week guys, neato.
It’s pretty cool how former RBN artists are contacting C3. How did the James Project even find C3 and espher?
Who’s the cover band for “Scotty Doesn’t Know,” and how did you guys get in contact with the band to use their masters (if you did, that is)?
Also, have any last minute changes been made to the FtV tracks now that they’re “officially” released?

no clue who the band is, but the stems were purchased from a website that is specifically for creating covers of songs that you can purchase the stems from. i’ve bought many but this is the first I thought was good enough and close enough to the original to use for release.

they always get fixed before going as a FtV release. that’s why we don’t just make the whole back catalog available, we want to take a second crack at making fixes to them.
May 31, 2013 at 7:17 pm #400329We initially spoke about the project itself (feedback, working through the setup process, etc), and then about RBN pro drum upgrades, and then got to here. Not sure how it was initially stumbled upon (ScoreHero I’d guess?).
You’ll conveniently note that the RB:HP release for Paper Valentines was also finalized this week — the two songs have slightly different mixes, so I wanted to give the old one some love in case anyone was nitpicky enough to care. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>

They don’t want to just put out customs as quickly as possible so there is a ton of them. They want to make sure they meet some quality standards before putting them on this site and are even willing to fix up old tracks that didn’t meet those standards. I appreciate this.

So I guess I’ll download the “updated” versions of Starlight and Somebody Told Me, then. Alright!

(You guys use the RB2 multis for this. I know, because I play on Phase Shift.)
June 1, 2013 at 1:20 am #400335The password is GHtoRB3, we’ll see that for the future only un-rarred files make it to distribution.
