Well, Nintendo replaced communities with tournaments, but they’re functionally the same thing, so I went ahead and created one for C3 for Mario Kart 8.

 

The tournament code is 2668-0824-1521. 150cc, No Teams, All Vehicles/Items/Controls, No Race Limit, No Shuffling, No CPU Racers, Any Rating. Runs weekly for lol bragging rights.

 

Basically we can just use it to find/play with other community members whenever people are around.

The tournament runs (almost) all the time, but I’m wondering if there might be a good time of day (or several, perhaps, for differing regions) to try and ‘target’ for active play.

If we get enough of a demographic, I might look to create some more ‘specialized’ tournaments with limited timeframes so people know when other people are on. e.g. nightly at 9pm EST-10pm EST or something, since it’s really tough to know when a given community is active or w/e.
