Hey, I just started my first atempt at authorizing and I am STUCK. I’m obviously new at authorizing customs because I’ve tried looking this problem up and don’t see it mentioned ANYWHERE, which means either no one else has messed up as bad as I have OR I’m the only idiot that can’t figure out how to fix it. But no matter what I do, this error in Magma keeps coming up right as Magma is starting its compiler…
MIDI Compiler: Starting…
ERROR: Metadata Compiler: C:UsersShizz_000DocumentsMagma
testtest.rbproj: ‘channels’ field for track ‘backing’ cannot be 0.
INTERNAL ERROR: Could not load song metadata; MIDI compilation cannot proceed.
Once again, I’m probably just being ignorant, but I will cry in happiness if someone can help me..
btw, I hope I posted this in the right forum..
Welcome. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> Check that your backing audio track file has been properly rendered (as in it’s a stereo audio file of any accepted format).
P.S. It’s “authoring”, not “authorizing”. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
That sounds like a problem with MIDI Tester caused by a missing backing audio file. Either get the older Magma C3 and copy the audio files to this new version, or wait until new version is released.
Thank you so much, that’s totally what it was!
I notice now that when I open the MIDI tester it has, of course, has been warning me this whole time that “the following files weren’t found:” and instead of reading it like a responsible AUTHOR ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />, I went straight to ‘Open MIDI’
Thanks for putting up with me guys…
I’ll be a big boy and read from now on ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
