Hi,
I am totally new to this and this my first song with hopefully many more to follow. I am getting these errors for the “PART GUITAR”:

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART GUITAR): Difficulty medium: Chord gems don't end simultaneously at [10]The list goes on, but you see what I mean. I’ve quantized. I’ve polished. I’m at a total loss. I know it is telling me what notes and where. The bass, drums, and vocals I figured out with no problems, but guitar is a pain.
Please help.
January 16, 2015 at 1:45 am #436329I’m gonna repeat it here:
You need to either quantize your notes because they’re slightly offset or your notes have 0 length because you’ve taken a FoF chart, in which case you need give them length. You need to quantize for position and note end and you need to make sure that notes have some length. Once all chord errors are gone (meaning all notes are quantized and all notes in a chord end and begin at the same time) double note on and off errors mean you have duplicate notes, so you need to delete the uppermost.
January 16, 2015 at 1:56 am #436330I’ve done this from scratch. So I guess it would not a 0 length issue. Maybe I did not quantize correctly. I have it set to the right grid. I’m not real clear on that even after reading that part of tutoial.
January 16, 2015 at 2:05 am #436331Your Quantize window needs to look like this:
January 16, 2015 at 2:17 am #436332Thank you for the info. I’ll give it a shot. Do I just hit “OK” or do I have to “Commit” first and then “OK”?
January 16, 2015 at 5:11 pm #436364Thank you for the info. I’ll give it a shot. Do I just hit “OK” or do I have to “Commit” first and then “OK”?Mark/select the notes you wish to quantize, then click Quantize, then click “OK”. If you click “Commit” you can’t undo the quantization later so I tend to not click that, though there is very rare you need to un-quantize something I guess
January 16, 2015 at 9:04 pm #436391Okay, I have done what you guys said to do, but I’m still getting these same errors. The only difference that I see from the .jpg from Farottone is that the the “swing strength” is at 0 and on mine it is at 50, but greyed out. The note lengths are 0.0.25. I do not understand.

January 17, 2015 at 1:54 am #436427You changed the velocity of your guitar track.
January 17, 2015 at 2:14 am #436431Oh… I see it. How do I change it to what it should be? I know I must have done something but I don’t know what.
January 17, 2015 at 4:58 am #436442SUCCESS!!! Thank you for all the help. I got the guitar track velocity fixed and managed to get the guitar, bass, and drums compiled. Now I am getting this error in the vocals (I thought I had them figured out and well… I was wrong):

January 17, 2015 at 6:26 pm #436471Mute all the Harmony parts (and any other unused MIDI track) in Reaper before exporting the MIDI, also uncheck HARM2/HARM3 dryvox if they are checked as active in Magma
January 17, 2015 at 8:59 pm #436484Thank you Farottone and Nightmare Lyra for your help… it worked.
