Hey everyone, I’ve come to a point where I’m ready to give my first custom a chance to see the light of day. The song is Army by Ben Folds Five. I’m currently looking for people to test the song and see if there are any issues. There are still some things I need to finish but it is complete as far as playability and charts its is done. The song does have cursing as a heads up. Thanks for anyone who takes a look.

Need to record dry vox for lip sync

Awesome tune! Ben Folds is fantastic.

 

Pro Keys looks pretty solid. There’s a few hiccups in the piano solo, though: at 1:37, there should be two G# notes instead of one, and most of the sustains should be trills instead (i.e. alternating 32nd or triplet notes, with trill lanes charted over them). For difficulty, I’d stick this right at Impossible.

 

Don’t forget to chart “solo notes” in the charts for the relevant instruments. That way players will get the blue highway and pop-up window, and it improves the quality of auto-generated venues.

 

There are some minor typos in the lyrics, and some hyphenated syllables (Chik-Fil-A, ex-wives) should have an extra hyphen charted in the lyric sheet to make sure it appears in-game.

 

Also, you can go ahead and set the Rating to “Mature Content” in Magma.

As far as the Pro Drum chart goes, i picked up a few things for ya :-

 

First, in the instrumental piano section after the 1st verse there is a 2 hit snare to kick/crash fill that’s the wrong way around.

 

Also, the “Thinking a lot today…” section has some snare hits missing & the kick drum pattern has some double hits (& maybe even a triple?) that you’ve got charted as singles, & the snare/round the toms fill out of this section seemed to come in a touch early too.

 

Lastly, the large fill in the middle of the guitar solo, and the smaller fill out of this section seemed to come in way too early on screen.

 

Apart from those few things it’s a good chart dude. Again, thanks for the time and work put in to chart this cool tune
