I’m trying to edit the Spinal Tap’s album “Back From the Dead”, the thing is, I only want the song “Tonight I’m Gonna Rock You Tonight” and not the WHOLE album, so I edited the .DTA file to leave only the info about that song, I created the pack, but there’s a problem with the album cover

 

 

Edit: it seems that this happens only with this album! I just tried to extract “The Metal” from the Brutal Legend pack and it looks perfect

Though why did you buy the whole pack if you only wanted 1 song? (We assume all of you are being good boys and girls and buy your DLC)

First of all, I didn’t buy the pack, I downloaded it for free (I live in Argentina, no Xbox support here), and second, when I putt the song on my xbox, the album cover looks perfect ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

It is indeed. Seems to be happening with very old songs like this one. I’ll take a look at what’s causing it.

As I said before, this only happened with this album, i excracted The Metal from another pack and the album was perfect, I also extracted a Jonathan Coulton RB2 song and also was correct

It’s a problem with the album art file itself. Every file I’ve looked at is the same. 42.6KB, same header, same structure. That is what Visualizer is expecting. Those Spinal Tap songs have 86KB album art files and a different header altogether.

I will try to figure out what’s going on, but it definitely is an HMX issue. How it works in the game is a whole different question with potentially interesting consequences…
