Hey folks, I’ve recently been learning my way around the customs authoring process and have decided to start with converting some video game music-related RB2/Frets on Fire customs. The idea was to learn the process by seeing if I could get these songs working. I would like to fix up and upgrade at least some of these down the road (you can see some of what I’ve started doing over in my WIP thread), but for now I’m just getting my feet wet with some songs that I enjoyed in the past when I was still running RB2 and RawkSD on Wii.
All songs are EMHX with full practice sessions and autogenerated venues. Some songs may have had a few slight fixes or adjustments from the original, such as fixing any extremely overt errors or adding tom markers. Like I said, I am planning on going back and fixing up some of these to be as close to RBN2/C3 spec as possible eventually, so if you encounter any problems or have any suggestions, please let me know. Feedback is gratefully appreciated!

NOTE: Keys in the original song follow guitar for the most part, so I copied the guitar chart to 5-lane keys and made some adjustments where necessary. The only drawback is that keys and guitar are on the same stem, so I gave guitar priority. If I go back and fix this one up, I’ll probably just use the album audio.

Thank you for the Megaman 2 and Theme of Laura songs. The previous version I had of Theme of Laura would cause the game to freeze.

Thanks for taking the time to post these songs for everyone. I’ve had some issues with a few of the songs though. Mainly the last few you’ve uploaded. Chrono Trigger medley, Rygar Medley, Sephiroths Deliverence, Cradle of Forest and Dooms Day don’t work for me. They aren’t staying on my usb drive. With the songs imported my total count is 247. After i close and reopen party buffalo the files are no longer there and my file count is 241. Obviously this means they don’t load in RB. I’ve tested other files and they stay and I’m still a few songs away from hitting the 256 bug. I’ve also tried redownloading the files 3 or 4 times tonight. Anyone else having issues or know of a possible cause/fix?
*Update*
I’ve managed to get the Chrono Trigger song to work. After about 7 different attempts it’s the only one i’ve managed to get working.

I will try again tomorrow.I’ll re-zip and re-upload them, as that’s really strange. The main reason for zipping them is because I was getting reports that any songs that weren’t zipped were showing as corrupted after being downloaded, which I believe was caused by my server disliking files with no extension.
If it doesn’t work after that, I’ll go ahead and put everything up on Dropbox.
EDIT: The last four tracks have been reuploaded!
