Stray Cat Blues is finished and has been released.

 

I’m still getting the corrupt midi header with I’m Free, so I plan to start a thread in the troubleshooting forum to get to the bottom of it. It’s really bugging me, to the point where I don’t want to do any more customs because of it *always* popping up! Grr.

 

My next goal: learn tempo mapping. So far: tempo mapping 1, Kemiroch 0. Tis hard ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />

I just finished The Stones – I’m Free (live). I don’t want to release it until I have a chance to test it, though, so I threw up a beta version. If anyone wants to try it out let me know if it has any glaring errors.

 

I put The Sounds – Shake Shake Shake on the back burner, which made me very sad ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” /> It’s a song I desperately want on Rock Band but it is NOT a song to do for a first time tempo mapper. The drums don’t even start until quite a ways into the song. I’m thinking of trying a song with a clock-like drum track that starts right away, like ‘Time Waits For No One’ or ‘Mystery Achievement’.

Is this version of Crazy on You original, or As Made Famous By?

This is the As Made Famous By version from GH somethingorother (1 or 2, I forget) that spindoctor6969 originally converted.

 

It’s pretty good, as far as covers go. The guitar actually has some additional ‘weight’ that the original (at least the version I have) seems to lack. The vocalist is good but no Anne Wilson, though.

Added some more progress. My plate is getting fuller and fuller, so the ones I’m working on now will probably be it until they are all done so I don’t get too overwhelmed. Look for at least one of the Stones tracks some time next week, hopefully both and a slight possibility of the Heart track also.

 

I have begun the process of learning how to convert PowerGig songs to RB. It is a lot more labor intensive than GH tracks are, and pretty unknown territory, so I will post periodic versions for anyone to download, test, and provide feedback. Expect the first one before the end of the weekend, possibly even later today.

I’m probably waaaay more excited about this news than anyone else is likely to be, but that’s understandable.

Sigh. It’s the bass! Power Gig has no bass!

 

But this song has a bass track on it! How can that be, you ask? Because I authored it! Mwahahaha!

 

Sure it’s probably got a few mistakes in it and it’s definitely not up to official C3 standards, but the important part is that it is my first track authored from scratch. Ever. It could be one note long and I’d still be proud as hell.

 

Anyway I’m done tooting my own horn now. Please check out the track and let me know what you think. Any feedback will be taken to heart.
