I’ve been working all my life on writing movies and plan on making several in the next couple of years. This is just a little thread to let people keep up with my (very many) projects, and give their thoughts/opinions on each individual film. Each film will also at some point have a Facebook page and kick starter, so without further delay, let us begin!
Night of the Fox: a small Midwestern town is terrorized by a demonic fox that just doesn’t seem to die.
(Horror/comedy)
Currently in pre-production
The Fat and the Furious: after the death of his brother in a hot dog accident, a young man takes up the mantle of becoming the national eating contest champion, with help from the one eyed former champ.
(Comedy)
All That Remains: Chayden Foster awakens the morning after his 20th birthday to find that he is alone, and the rest of the world’s population has dissapear es. After a year in solitude, he explores the outside world, searching for answers.
(Thriller)
Currently filming.
Five Minute Abs: after buying a workout DVD, an overweight man uncovers a plot to kill the president by a resurrected Adolf Hitler.
(Action/comedy)
Amazing Grace: A youth pastor attempts to help an abused girl find a way out of her situation while struggling with his own addiction to prescription drugs.
(Drama)
Jones : A man struggles with the after effects of being sexually assaulted by a woman in a world that seems to believe a man can never be a victim.
That’s all I have going on for now, would love some feedback. Really not sure which to start on next and I’d love some criticism.
August 27, 2014 at 1:37 pm #428079I’ll just pop in and say that unless these are all completed screenplays, I’d refrain from posting all your ideas, as it makes it easy for someone else to steal from you. Just some advice from one screenwriter to another.

it needs a big comedy star.

Not necessarily. I’ve seen some independent comedies without big-name actors that have made me laugh. I’m not in the school of thought that all good comedies need to be major Hollywood blockbusters.

Hmmm. If these come out on Blu-Ray I would flip if in Night Of The Fox a guy is seen playing America , Fuck Yeah in RB3.
Maybe he can do a movie that is a tribute to Robin Williams?
August 27, 2014 at 8:17 pm #428101I’ll give a few little teases because why not.
we cant afford big stars at all. I’m the main character in the movies with the rest of the spots being filled by people who just happen to have a passion for film. I’ve had some help with these though, such as dome extra help writing 5 Minute Abs.
I’m not sure about playing rock band honestly. Do I have to have permission from harmonic to use their game? I believe I do.
all of the music is from indie musicians. I actually performed the entire soundtrack for All That Remains.
couple of musicians that play tracks for the movies are Psychoetry. 270 North, and Paris Heights.

I don’t think Harmonix wo’t really mind if you used it.
Although I know nothing about making movies so I don’t know if that is the case.

August 27, 2014 at 8:36 pm #428105I would really love to have What If I Was Nothing play at some point in the movie, but at the moment music and such is just an afterthought. Once the final editing process starts and I make a kick starter I might look into getting ATR on the soundtrack.
August 27, 2014 at 8:40 pm #428106Wait a minute…
If you are doing a kickstarter you can raise enough money to get RB3 in TNOTF!

If I could be brutally honest, I never liked it when a movie had Rock Band or Guitar Hero in it. It always has that weird connotation of the “Yeah, look at this nerd still playing with a plastic guitar!” sort of mentality. For example, in Paul Blart Mall Cop, the titular character is distracted, playing Detroit Rock City while the mall is getting robbed. The scene sort of provides that stigma of “Lol look at the funny fat man playing the nerdy video game and laugh!” Another sort of thing they tend to do with it is make it blatantly obvious the characters/cast/crew have no idea what they’re doing, like a montage in The Smurfs that shows one of them playing drums… on Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.
Though seeing how MagmaOasis is actually a fan of the game, I don’t think he’d write in anything that embarrassing with it; though with the series being essentially dead, I’m not sure if it’d be an entirely good idea to force in product placement for the game at this time.

Well , in RB news , I started a I MADE A GAME WITH ZOMBIES IN IT! challenge in the off-topic thread.
I saw Paul Blart and when I saw Rock Band in it I smiled so wide it could be seen in Oslo , Norway.
If TNOTF turns out to be like those Werewolf movies from the early 2000’s , I might go and see it.
August 27, 2014 at 9:43 pm #428118NOTF is actually in the style of a really bad 70s movie. Like Roger Cormon inspired. Its very aware of how ridiculous it is

In one scene , you go to a conveniance store and on the employees are nametags named after a couple of us!
and a board on the wall says…
Latest RB fail.
Good plan , eh?
You should do a mockumentary about my famous fictional band. I could supply you with information on my off-topic thread.
