Hello everybody,
I am a long time GH/RB fan and still to this day play the games on my Wii.
I am just wondering what this site is about and if there is anything here for a GH/RB (nut) player to pick up.
Can I add songs to my existing set up to breathe some life into the old dog?
I used TheGhost in the past to modify GH3 with some Frets of Fire songs but that’s about it..
So I guess I am asking, what’s going on here.
Also, what is Phaseshift all about?
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Zoot.
January 18, 2016 at 6:11 pm #462261Well, this forum is mainly dedicated to posting custom songs for Rock Band 3, to keep the series alive and fresh for the players. What you can do is download these customs and play them on your Wii. You need to convert them, and there’s a whole thread about it if you search through this forum. It’s a fun place for everyone talk about Rock Band and Harmonix. Lastly, Phase Shift is a Rock Band/ Guitar Hero clone for the PC which is a good program to play customs on if you don’t have a 360, PS3, or Wii. In fact, I used to play customs on Phase Shift before I got my 360. Visit the C3 Database or the C3 Blog to see all the customs that you could download!
January 18, 2016 at 6:15 pm #462262Hi,
Thanks for coming back to me.
Another question – So is adding a custom song similar to downloading DLC?
Is the process complex?
I am really interested in keeping RB3 alive it’s such an amazing game and my family love playing it over the xmas period and at birthdays etc.
January 18, 2016 at 7:27 pm #462264Welcome aboard. Here you will find, literally, thousands of new songs to play – many really amazing. Just yesterday, someone posted all of a Pink Floyd album, completely charted. Like Dream Theater? Two full albums are ready to play.
Be sure to read, in detail, http://pksage.com/ccc/IPS/index.php?/topic/9251-how-to-playing-customs-on-wii/
and go through the guides. It takes time to set up, but this site saved the game for me.
January 18, 2016 at 8:15 pm #462266Hi,
Thank you for the warm welcome.
I’ll be sure to give it a try!
I’m not the greatest techy guy but enjoy a challenge.
And I’m sure someone will be able to help me out if I get stuck

January 20, 2016 at 4:02 pm #462329Once (potentially useful) piece of advice…in the documentation, you’ll see lots of references to something called “Party Buffalo”.
Don’t use it. It is crap.
Download the C3 CON tools from this site, and use the “RB to USB” application to transfer customs from your computer to your pre-formatted USB stick of choice. It is much, much, much easier to do.

This is a staggering and amazing number. Especially to me, since I didn’t know that *any* of this stuff existed like a year ago.

January 20, 2016 at 10:49 pm #462352Moved to the Wii thread.
Thanks
January 21, 2016 at 12:48 am #462358You need to ask on the Wii thread. That’s why it’s there.
