Yet basically every week, even just from the previews I see obvious (to me) details that are missing or off – usually a note here or there, but rarely anything more. I tend to be a stickler for details, so I accept it probably annoys me more than most others. I only say this in the spirit of good-will and constructive criticism… with the sheer volume and consistency of content, I’m sure mistakes are inevitable; even Harmonix had a some well-known mistakes. All the same, is there a way for average (but dedicated) schmoes such as myself to proofread tracks before release, at least to have another set of eyes? Or something to help… because I really do dig what y’all are doing.

Thanks for the support, appreciated. About the first line there, is it’s *only* from the preview video, as we state in each blog post, preview videos are done before the last round of fixes, so some stuff will be off. If it’s from playing too, you can report issues by clicking on Report Song Issues at the top of the page. You can also apply to be a playtester by sending a PM to espher.

Thanks for the all the kind words everyone. I must of course give a lot of credit to Farottone for bringing my track up to C3 standards and adding in pro keys and harmonies. I also have to credit fellow user angruss, whose uploads of karaoke game’s songs provided me with the great vocals to my song. There are still a lot of great tracks there for people like me who don’t have the ability to chart vocals well.

I wish my name could be a normal occurrence in the weekly releases, but you won’t be seeing me there much. I’ll mostly be sticking to my own thread. It’s great to get my name in the database though. If anyone ever wants to pitch vox on my AC/DC tracks, I’d gladly work with you on everything else to make them up to C3 standards.

Ah, that’s a good point. I don’t always download every song, so I may be totally off-base on some of them.

I’ll do that. Thanks for the reply!!

Mr. Big, I cannot believe it!! They were my first favourite band when I was 13 years old.

        Thank you sooooo much.

Don’t care much for Slayer due to content , but Mr. Big , Pixies , The Smiths , and The Verve are welcome in my world of music. P.S Movie Soundtrack Pack for next week would be excellent!

Fair enough, though you do realize it’s not promoting Nazi torture experiments but is about the horrors of Nazism, right?

True , but still Raining Blood was about a fallen angel killing almost everyone in heaven causing it to “rain blood” on Earth ( as i remember it ).

Yes, Extreme Thrash Metal tend to have scary and disturbing lyrics, that’s kind of the point of most Extreme Metal

          Tell me about it (Dethklok)

You know, nevermind the fact that Dethklok is a parody and all…

Me being Snarky McSnarkington aside, this is a kick-ass week. Congrats to all who authored things, I have quite a bit to get caught up on with these customs (been too busy authoring to actually take time out to play some of you other guys’ songs in-game).

The metal I like is the calmer classic and regular Thrash Metal (Megadeth , Metallica , Judas Priest , Black Sabbath , Anthrax , Ozzy Osbourne , Some of Def Leppards metal-ish songs, Ratt , and Iron Maiden) Nu-Metal is a whole different subject. I count the Scorpions as Hard Rock.

I had never heard a Mr Big song until watching this video, holy Jesus they have some cheesy lyrics. Thanks for the updated Pixes, Smiths, and Verve!

I’m fairly certain Where Is My Mind? made my game freeze. I had the previous version, and the new one has the same filename, not sure about the song ID. Tried removing the other new songs I had gotten other than WIMM, still froze.

            Anyone else had that problem?

Very good week again. Pixies are always great and I was just recently wondering how Bittersweet Symphony wasn’t already in the game.

As a (Northern) European, Mr. Big was one of those apparently pretty popular bands, I’d never heard of before their Rock Band appearance. While I was pretty unimpressed listening-wise, the three test tracks I picked (Road to Ruin, Voodoo Kiss, Little too Loose) were top notch Rock Band material on all the instruments. On the other end of the spectrum, Slayer is one of my oldest favourites and this is my second favourite song from them, but like the vast majority of their material, it’s thoroughly painful to actually play.
