I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that there’s no mention of her here, but her debut album made a huge splash on me in 1989. Most likely know the first song on the list, but her soft melodic voice has been mostly forgotten.

 

The music still sticks in my head and was very soothing/haunting and unique. Close your eyes and it’s powerful layers of sound take you away into another dimension. Although I didn’t back then, this would be perfect after a joint to relax and float away now.

“Falling” is a must! We already have the instrumental version (“Twin Peaks Theme”) by Badalamenti as a custom, so perhaps making the Julee Cruise version could just mean to chart vocals, and re-use the other midi tracks from Twin Peaks Theme.
