I thought I saw “Brain Damage” by Pink Floyd in the “Other Customs” forum, but other than searching “Pink Floyd”/”Brain Damage” in the search bar, I have no idea how else I would access it.
Considering it was the link/picture of the song, I am not able to search for it by text. Is there any other method I can use to be able to search for custom songs in that forum?

To create an index of them would be a huge undertaking, and its viability would be debatable.
At the very least, to make our customs more easily searchable, we Other Customs people should at least put the name/artist in text underneath the visualizer image.

I think I did that with my non-C3 customs thread. When searching obviously the forum can’t find things that are only identified by a nondescript imgur image as created by Visualizer.
March 17, 2015 at 2:31 pm #440858So I went to my own thread, excited to finally have a reason to bump it after so long, and discovered I already have all the song names/artists typed out ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
/sigh
March 17, 2015 at 6:53 pm #440874Wouldn’t implementation of alt text for images potentially solve this? That way it won’t be redundant to the viewer, but still be searchable in a way.
June 10, 2015 at 8:01 pm #447641Couldn’t a google spreadsheet be created that allowed authors to edit links as they added songs? Then you could sort by Artist->Title->Instrumentation->Modified Date->Etc.
I’m sure a lot of old songs might not make it in unless someone took the time to go back and fill it in but at least you could get your own work in.
Just a thought
June 10, 2015 at 8:03 pm #447643As has been said already, patience. Something is in the works.
June 11, 2015 at 6:12 am #447665I add the name of the songs to my thread and artist name.
June 11, 2015 at 10:49 pm #447702A sticky with a list of songs, and links to the topic would solve this.
June 11, 2015 at 11:03 pm #447706No, it wouldn’t, because songs get added daily, get updated and get removed. It would take too much manpower and will undoubtedly end up outdated.
I don’t know how many times I have to say this. PATIENCE.
