Invisible Charts

This is a strange one for me: A friend sent me a chart to compile – the chart has drums, bass, and keys, with the notes all visible on the main Reaper screen. If I double-click on keys, and bring up that chart, everything is present, but, if I do this with bass or drums, there are no notes.
Reaper clearly knows there are notes. The RB preview window works, and CAT can reduce the drums (new notes appear in the drum line, but not on the chart).
This is probably trivial. What would make the chart invisible? How do I see the notes?
