Hello again.
I was wondering if I could put this song on the database, the thing is, it was a part of a conjoined song as official DLC.
The song is Brain Stew
it was part of Brain Stew/Jaded in Rock Band 3
Can I put it on the database? The only things similar are the charts and multitracks. The multitracks are encrypted.
Thanks and it’s fine if I cant put it in. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
April 13, 2017 at 8:40 pm #483927Hi there. Good of you to ask first.
If the mix you use is the same as where part of the conjoined song comes from: it’s a no.
If you reused some of the Harmonix charts: no again.
If it’s a different version with completely original charts: It might fly, but ultimately it’s up to the
founding fathersadmin overlords ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />.April 13, 2017 at 8:41 pm #483928I’m going to go with No.
If it’s the same main audio (which, assuming by the fact you have stems suggests that it is), then it’s likely a no-go. If the chart is the Hmx chart as well that’s a definite negative.
The only way to really get around is if your using a different version of a song (ie, Album, Single, Live)
I’m getting to releasing the rest of Rush’s Clockwork Angels down the road. I asked to do the Album version of Caravan since the RB is the Single, and it’s allowed. The audio is mixed very different, there’s additional music for the intro, and I manually redid all the charting.

Well, I cant upload it because of the charts and audio, so I might just edit it to fit with the live version. For this song, the album and single versions are the same. Thank you for taking the time to help me out.

Yeah ill probably just forget it or make the live version. Thanks ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
April 15, 2017 at 12:06 am #483959If it’s both HMX charts AND audio, it doesn’t sound like much of a “custom” song.
April 15, 2017 at 2:51 am #483964Damn. I was ready to get the ban hammer and wouldn’t you know it. People were reasonable and made the right choices. Damn what a day. There is still hope for humanity!
