Hello, fellow authors! today I decided to try and convert one of my charts that i’ve made with phase shift. I’m pretty sure I’ve done everything that’s necessary in reaper. anyways, whenever I try build the RB3_con file, It gives me this error:
Magma: C3 Roks Edition v3.3.0

Everything looks good, continuing…
Nemo’s MIDI AutoGen process started.
Added drum mix events successfully.

ERROR: Audio Compiler: Could not open ‘c:/program files (x86)/phase shift/music/control denied – believe/audio/stereo44.wav’ for read.
ERROR: Project Compiler: Unable to calculate song length due to Audio Compiler errors.
I’m sorry if this is a waste of your time or whatever, but I really want to release this song in my other customs thread. any and all help will be appreciated.

Right away, set up a folder for your customs on a non protected folder, on another drive or outside the system directories. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
April 26, 2015 at 4:57 pm #443803Alright, moved the rbproj into a folder in my documents. I also found out that I had drums checked in magma, even though I don’t have a drums chart or the song i’m compiling. anyhow, I fixed that error, only to have another one happen.

What is so hard to understand? You didn’t add an EVENTS track to your project. Add it.
This is not authoring for Phase Shift. So get familiar with the Rock Band requirements.

No shit! If it was I wouldn’t be asking for help, would I?
April 26, 2015 at 5:15 pm #443810You’d be surprised how many people come here and want to force Magma to accept Phase Shift or FoFix MIDIs.
If you’re aware that you’re authoring for Rock Band, then you should be aware of Rock Band’s requirements. An error like “x is required, stopping because something required is missing” should not warrant a thread.

You’re not using the C3 template and you probably haven’t read the docs, otherwise the EVENTS track would be present and correctly filled. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”> Always check that the tracks you need are unmuted in Reaper, in case you ARE using the template but you muted the tracks.
April 26, 2015 at 10:31 pm #443852I’m using the C3 template, and none of the unnecessary tracks are muted. I must be doing something wrong. I’ll have to read through the docs again.

April 28, 2015 at 8:59 pm #444021http://www55.zippyshare.com/v/F9nfLm8F/file.html there’s the midi.
April 28, 2015 at 9:14 pm #444023That’s not the MIDI you exported from Reaper, it only has guitar and events, like a FoF MIDI.
April 28, 2015 at 9:17 pm #444024I thought I posted the right midi! Did I not save my reaper project, or? I don’t know. back to the drawing board I guess.
April 28, 2015 at 9:18 pm #444025April 28, 2015 at 9:26 pm #444027Oh, hilarious… so hilarious. that’s the funniest thing ever. I really like the part where you pulled your head out of your ass and stopped being such a douchebag… oh wait, that never happened.
Anyways, I hope I can figure this stuff out. sorry for wasting your time.
April 28, 2015 at 9:29 pm #444028I can’t do that until people learn to appreciate the tools and knowledge that is provided to them and respect those that provide said tools and knowledge.
Coming here with an attitude, and doing the bare minimum, gets me all giddy to respond with bitchy comments.
If you put in your effort, then I’m very helpful. Those that actually put in effort don’t have too many things to complaint about me because I help them in return. You get what you earn with me.
Don’t forget the tools you’re using now were either created or modified by me, or at the very least with the tools created by farottone and pksage, tested by me. So I tend to have an idea of what I’m talking about when I reply to people ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
