So, from the limited amount of information we have at this point, it looks like this replaces quickplay? As in, I can’t just make a setlist and play it? I hope not.

I’m very excited about Gigs. Any new features are enough for me to get excited. I’m just glad to see HMX moving forward and adding features while keeping the main game in place. Yes they stripped away Pro Keys and guitar, but at least they didn’t strip away all instruments like Activision moving backwards with GH.

for the record they took away regular keys too…but i’m not bitter! agreed on the new feature part of your post though.

If you set your xbox’s language to a European language supported by RB3 (German, Spanish, etc.) it will actually turn the comma into a period as per their ways of notating numbers in RB3 ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Most my parties its pick a song -play said song-, next person takes mic, they pick a song -play said song- rinse and repeat.

 

This looks good and will be great for when its just me and the band, but when there is 15+ people wanting to play and each person wanting to play a certain song, i hope i dont run in to problems with this system…

Today’s video has select people from HMX talking about what bands they’d like to see in RB. They Listed: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Elvis, More Tegan and Sara, and another one with the name “Giants” in the band, don’t remember, I think it was They Might Be Giants. Anyways, unless they are good at covering their tracks, I heavily doubt any of these artists is the one that Ryan McCaffrey at IGN said he was shocked to see in RB. My guess is still that it’s a previous GH exclusive like Metallica or the Eagles, or possibly U2.

According to Podcast Unlocked on IGN, Ryan said they are revealing 5 songs on Friday during the game play reveal. Seems like a small number if they are going with the similar 80+ song setlist that the last 2 games had. I’m sure we’ll get larger reveals later but I was expecting more than 5.
