I wonder if there will be skill trees in the “RPG” element. I have a hunch we’ll see different power-ups to achieve high scores, similar to Blitz.
May 4, 2015 at 5:52 pm #444580you da man espher! (also, everyone else who contributed to RB:HP)THIS THIS THIS
May 4, 2015 at 5:53 pm #444582The best news of the day was the RBHP’s inclusion into RB4. I mean, for a developer to embrace the modding community in this way, has this ever happened before in any other context? What an achievement! So well deserved.
Keeping the content Canadian since 2017!

I mean, for a developer to embrace the modding community in this way, has this ever happened before in any other context? What an achievement! So well deserved.I suppose it could be argued that HMX “supported” the earlier RB/GH custom community by recognizing their potential and trying to take it legit with RBN.
You could also say that HMX “supports” C3 by *not* nuking the site and all its contributors with its orbital lawyer-laser. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
But yes, so nice to see all that hard work toward a for-free passion project get leveraged by a company that “gets it”. Congrats, Espher!
May 4, 2015 at 6:48 pm #444594Three cheers for Espher! It’s nice to see such a labor of love with a good dose of OCD have such an awesome conclusion!
May 4, 2015 at 8:15 pm #444606Harmonies are back and some “fan” gave them harmonies for all of the old songs too! What kind of nutbar would do that?

ALSO THE GAME LOOKS SO COOL AND EVERYTHING SOUNDS AWESOME AND AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
May 4, 2015 at 8:46 pm #444607Not a fan of the more realistic graphics or that they decided to go with a more cartoon-y note highway than RB3. Think RB2 had the best note highway.
Still looking forward to learning more about the game though

Agreed and hopefully the note highway is something they can easily adjust before the game releases.
May 4, 2015 at 9:30 pm #444614Well I can’t imagine they’ll support the Stage Kit and not the Midi Pro Adapter, the RBHP inclusion is mindblowingly awesome, and they confirmed vocal improv with song key tracking. I am officially pumped about RB4 now.
Fingers crossed for explicit confirmation of midi compatibility, PS4 vs XB1 differences and any hint of RBN 3.0…
May 4, 2015 at 10:34 pm #444617I think I can speak for most of the drummers here. RB4 has to support the midi adapter or equivalent for drums. My son and I destroyed a few (toy) kits before getting the midi adapter and an e-kit. The latest IGN news has me interested in RB4 but then I read psiven’s post about not supporting the adapter. And by interested I mean buying an Xbox One just to play RB4….and NHL16.

May 4, 2015 at 11:08 pm #444626I hope they confirm soon. Just so that I can start being good now and Santa can bring me the goods.
May 4, 2015 at 11:29 pm #444627Free-form melody singing… The authoring potential makes me wonder about the scoring factors in this situation. But it sounds very lovely to want to have.
May 5, 2015 at 12:26 am #444634congrats to everyone at rbhp, it’s great to see that your work will be used in an official game release
May 5, 2015 at 12:38 am #444639Pretty incredible news today. I was more on the “this aint gonna happen” side for the RBHP to get incorporated into the official game when Espher told me about thinking of submitting the work to Harmonix. I’m glad my forecast was wrong. This makes me even more excited to work on the RBN1.0 Pro Drum upgrades. Don’t know if the Pro Drum upgrades are going to make it into the game but it sure is highly probable at this point.
