I mean, what are Sympathy For The Devil,

, or Piano Man without the piano?

Uh, still pretty fucking good songs, especially as a vocalist.

    New article up! http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/05/04/ … -ign-first

Harmonies are back and some “fan” gave them harmonies for all of the old songs too!

New Drum fills – backwards compatible with old DLC as well!

    Campaign is Rock Band RPG

Stage kit COULD be compatible – they’re working on it

What kind of nutbar would do that?

    Great stuff in that article.

Harmonies confirmed. Pro drums AND new cymbals confirmed (nothing to date had shown or confirmed cymbals), and possible stage kit support. All around win.

I like the venue look and feel. Not too sure on that note highway and gem design, looks way too cartoony.

But it sure sounds great otherwise.

Too many songs that are amazing with Keys are going to feel hollow without them – I mean, what are Sympathy For The Devil …[snip]… without the piano?

Uhhhh, “doesn’t totally suck eggs on guitar” maybe? That custom is so sparse on guitar that it plays like keys on half the first two tiers of on-disc keys songs. It should either have not even charted guitar and put the solo on keys, or else charted those keys to guitar.

    All IMNSHO, of course. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

I am sad that I’m not excited for this game at all, but it warms me up that RBHP was accepted and that I had a part in about 5 or 10 of those, I think.

So happy a tour mode is returning, as well as Harmonies coming to every old piece of legacy DLC, I’m happy I won’t be losing those going forward and away from the custom game.

So, just out of curiosity, what do you guys think will happen to the keys/pro-keys charts in all previous RB3 era DLC song files? Surely Harmonix will keep the keys charts in the “updated” RB4 version file of the song right? Also, you know, just in case they ever decide to add keys into the game via some sort of content/title update, they won’t have to re-build every song again.

What an awesome accomplishment for espher and the rbhp team. Congrats, guys! Are you permitted to share anything about that process? It strikes me as a pretty unprecedented occurrence in video gaming. I mean fan-created content has been integrated into games before, but at this level?

When we hear back from Harmonix about what we can and can’t say, we’ll let you know!

Wow. Maybe this isn’t RB3.5 after all.I love the idea of the improvisational vocals, that was a feature is had thought of years ago. They found a great workaround on the drum fills, obviously we’ll see how smooth it runs in game. Hopefully it’ll be optional.

The drummer countin is a great touch. One of those things never done in the ~8 years of drumming games but now makes total sense. I’ve had so many RB parties where everyone but the drummer is ready when the song starts.

And the stage kit might be compatible? What is this wizardry? I might have to make sure mine doesn’t end up in the trash.

My excitement level for this game went from a 5 to a 7 ¾.

And espher’s harmonies might be implemented? !!!

OMFG YOU GUYS!!! I can’t believe they partnered with the custom harmonies project! That is truly amazing and will make vocals so much more fun to play. I’m super excited for the RPG story mode because I love when games integrate RPG mechanics (Taiko Drum Master story mode on DS/3DS/Vita, etc.)

The note highway looks a bit too bright and flat. I hope it looks more like the Rock Band 3 highway because I never liked the light colors of the Beatles highway.

I still hope we can turn off drum fills because I like playing the part of the song that’s hidden behind them.
