– Instruments compatibility: 9/10
– Graphics: 5/10
– Release date: 11/10 (for professional purposes…)
May 15, 2015 at 4:12 pm #445545First 6 songs!
Avenged Sevenfold – “Hail to the King”

The Who – “The Seeker”
May 15, 2015 at 4:18 pm #445546I was betting I would have to pull one of my songs, so glad I was wrong. Only 1/6 we already have from C3, so not bad. Of course, the rest of the setlist might be 100% already available from C3

May 15, 2015 at 4:37 pm #445551For someone like me who is very picky, 5 out 6 songs I knew off the top of my head and 4 out of 6 are songs I really like. Awesome so far! Now I just want to know how the DLC transfer will work as far as what songs will really carry over.
May 15, 2015 at 4:37 pm #445552Not too bad. I think we have Somebody Told Me through C3, Hail to the King somewhere in the Other Customs area (not sure if it’s full band, all instruments though), and The Seeker through GH3 multi-track convert with guitar, bass and drums. The other 3 seem completely new though!
May 15, 2015 at 4:42 pm #445553Now I just want to know how the DLC transfer will work as far as what songs will really carry over.I thought they have already indicated all songs released that were previously released as DLC will work but since RB4 has some sort of new(er?) file format for the songs that they have to go in, add harmonies from espher, fix any meta-data issues and then actually re-release every single song. Or are you just saying you want to know how many songs they will have at launch and how long until all of them are eventually available?

You are gonna have to redownload all songs you had on RB3 for your new console, yes. And they will all transfer. They still need to officially confirm all will have harmonies.
May 15, 2015 at 5:01 pm #445557They still need to officially confirm all will have harmonies.Would the IGN First article that talked about it not be official confirmation?

“For singers, Harmonix hopes that Rock Band 4 will be the best karaoke game ever made. Not only will the vocal harmonies added in The Beatles: Rock Band return, but a dedicated group of the Rock Band fan community have gone back and authored harmonies for every previous song and handed it over to Harmonix. For free.”
May 15, 2015 at 5:02 pm #445558Except that 1) RBHP hasn’t finished its job, so not every song that needs harmonies has had harmonies charted yet, and 2) as good as espher is, HMX might not agree with some of the RBHP charts – will they then rechart, or leave that song without harmonies?
May 15, 2015 at 5:05 pm #445559I don’t think they have at any point committed to “all” DLC despite the reporters kind of saying that.
There are a lot of question marks left including harmonies, which ones will be exceptions, which export packs will be available, whether anything will have new export fees, whether RBN is going to return, what the re-release schedule will look like, etc. We already know for example RB3 export pack is/was not planned and there is a clear track record of unavoidable licensing issues.
There are some great hypothetical scenarios that I’d be pleased to see realized, but I’m not expecting a miracle.
May 15, 2015 at 5:11 pm #445561whether RBN is going to returnYou can almost bank on the fact that it will not return. Mainly, the XNA framework is not available for Xbox One. What some people are hoping for is something similar but not tied to either Microsoft or Sony, maybe directly done through HMX, so that then this new RBN equivalent can be on both platforms. However, this would require a lot more work on HMX’s part, and I don’t see it happening – at least not anytime soon.

It’s already been established that the article made at least a few unsubstantiated claims. For a number of reasons, an official announcement would be nice. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
May 15, 2015 at 5:33 pm #445564somebody told me was one of the first multitrack customs we made back in the day and we used to joke that it would be in rock band blitz rendering all our work in the chart useless. i’m looking forward to hmx’s version
May 15, 2015 at 5:40 pm #445565Hey I’m getting a song into the game! I’m so honored!
I’m sure their chart of Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong will be so much better.
That, Lazaretto, and You Make Loving Fun are all 10’s in my book, so I’m very happy so far.
