Yes, once you get an emunand running it’s as simple as moving files on a USB drive.

And also similar-looking ticket names. Those have to be in there. It sounds like your WAD for the content got uninstalled if the game’s rejecting it.
On another note, I think this can finally by the first complete, full release version of RockBiink.
Now with DTA auto-updating and other minor fixes and improvements. Play around with it. Everything should be okay, so I’ll work on a proper guide soon.
January 2, 2016 at 12:59 pm #461504Well, I’ve spend hours trying to set up an emunand but I did’t get it to work. I tried Uneek+Di with neek2o and Alternity’s suggestion. Both didn’t work. Neek2o got stuck on reloading bootmii ios eventhough bootmii is installed as ios. And the other emunand just gave me a black screen. I tried 3 different hdd’s, 4 sd cards, I formatted them multiple times but nothing worked. I’ll try using an USB Loader again and hopefully Rock Band 3 won’t crash this time. Otherwise I’ll stick with my sd card for loading dlc and customs.

I know how you fell, tried Uneek, but always gave me a black screen. I spent days trying to get emunand on Usb Loader Gx to work, and finally did it, if you get problems loading customs on emunand, just ask me on pm, and as I said before, custom generation doesn´t work on emunand, so the only option is to replace official packs of contents.

January 3, 2016 at 2:33 am #461530According to the docs for the emunand I’m using, black screen can occur and can last a good while. I suggest waiting 10min on it (should only happen at first boot though). Have you tried both usb ports? USB port 0 (the one closer to the edge) seems to work better.
Also, instead of replacing official content, you can merge customs with it, if you want to keep the song. On emunand you can also rearrange all the official DLCs as they were customs, any slot works, as long as the path in the DTA is right. Scores, leaderboards and online will still work according you kept the original song ID.

I waited like 30 mins, also noticed that the led of my HDD stopped blinking, when it does that, the HDD stops reading data, just as simple.
I do merge songs in one pack, sadly i can only merge like 25 songs for eaxh pack, since batch executable crashes with more than 100 songs, and same batch doesnt pack _songs packers very well when i pack less than 100 songs (the batch just pack 1 midi of a entire songs packs and then closes)
Btw, merging the official dlc with the customs is a great idea!
January 3, 2016 at 9:24 am #461541Are you using wszst? You should be able to pack at least 1.5gb, maybe even more, but I didn’t really tried.
I’ve done the update on Win10, wszst still worked, but my system was funky and I decided to do a clean win10 install. If you update win7 to win10 without doing a clean install wszst should still work as intended, but if it was a clean win10 install, wszst does not behave like it should. I ended up using my server to pack songs. lol
If you’re not on win10, I really can’t tell what’s the problem. A friend of mine also had a problem where he couldn’t pack more than x MB, we theorized that it could be because of the RAM since he only has 4gb, I have 16gb, but we could be wrong.
January 4, 2016 at 12:02 am #461568I have 12 GB RAM, so i guess the problem is in the batch itself. But dont worry, im ok with 25 songs for each pack, besides i have a lot of official packs where i can replace, specially sZFE since i have 0 songs on that content generation

So I did everything in the guide step by step, downloaded a couple of customs, used the C3 program to convert them to Wii which was flawless. I downloaded a common key off the internet and got my ng_id from the 0000 line as highlighted in the picture from my specific keys.bin file. Then when I went to use the pack tool I got no errors but no bins or apps were generated. So I double clicked the packdlc batch file program and my apps were generated. Cool, but I need the bins for my SD card. What am I doing wrong here? Tried both the sZFE and sZAE in the meta file code but no luck.
January 5, 2016 at 11:37 pm #461659Did you make sure the common key file is extensionless? Take out the “pause” line from the batch script and see where the build fails.

Found out my console ID was wrong. Common-key is in fact extensionless. Still no luck. What were you saying to take out of here, sorry I have no coding experience.

I got a different common key off of the internet to make sure with no change in results. Why can’t it find it, where does the program look?
January 6, 2016 at 11:09 am #461674Hello again. My game now works great, but can someone explain how to run the cheats. I installed Ocarina (not compatible with SDHC cards), then Gecko. I believe I made the SZBP69.gct (PAL Rock Band 3) file correctly, as there were check boxes for the three cheats I copied (Fast Start Up, 1000 song limit and the license one, but I only really want the song limit increase). I put the SZBP69.gct file in the root of SD card in a folder called codes. Game crashes when I try to run it (with Ocarina on or off). I have read and re-read through the forum, and looked online, but am stuck. Thanks in advance
Edit: This worked for me. I found the text for RB3 Ocarina codes on page 51 (Alternity) of this topic , installed Configurable USB, ran this text file through Ocarina Cheat code manager, just changing the game ID from SZBE69 to SZBP69 (and Rock Band 3 (US) to Rock Band 3 (EU)). Disabled the cheat code “Unblock License-Conflicted Songs” (page 52 Sin Ominous), but I only really wanted the song game limit anyway (so for me, I’m just using fast startup and max song limit). Then ran the game through Configurable USB loader (options – ocarina->on, hook->VBI. You know it’s worked if the MTV logo flashes briefly. Since that worked, I went back to USB loader GX, and changed global settings – ocarina-on, hook-.VBI, and that worked too. Hope that helps
