I never got RockBiink to work, so what I did was make a “dummy” magma file, import the audio I want to use, and then build the custom, convert to Wii, and I can easily pull the out .mogg, copy and rename it to where I want it. Also, you can open the .dta and copy the audio configuration stuff.

I have no idea what any of that means.

I have no idea what any of that means.

If you don’t know what a .mogg is or what a .dta file is, then I don’t know how you were planning to reduce the audio file sizes.

Pro Bass for “Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You” keeps freezing right before the fretboard loads up. I wonder what could be the issue. Other instruments have worked so far for that song, including Pro Guitar.

It could be a number of things I suppose, that happened to me when the track had invalid MIDI stuff for rb, like pitch bending and such. Usually happens when you copy/past from another MIDI with actual music on it.

Could also be something totally different, but I’m pretty sure the problem is in the pro bass track.

Fiddlesticks. Well, at least the rest of it works.

I’m about to embark on a conversion spree, fulfilling requests from my bro, so expect this topic to be busy with error reports as I go.

Ok, so a coulpe (hopefully) simple questions:

      1) If I delete a song through the game, will the others songs in the same pack be affected in any way?

      2) Is there any way to get the .bins and convert them to .apps? My 32gb SD card is almost full and I’m thinking of a way to switch to virtual NAND without having to redownload the official DLCs I already have one by one.

      Thanks!

I think showmiiwads kinda converts cause you can extrack and repack in various formats included no header (that you can put the extension yourself).

You can use wszst, so far 1.5gb a pack works no problem, haven’t tested bigger, on dolphin, or another generation than sZAE.

did u know how to use wszst to create an .app file? Can you show mr the way ??

        #460926

        Get this http://www.mediafire.com/download/ws4ssf3eofg7iik/emuNANDpacking_windows.zip

Install wszst, reboot, then it’s pretty much the same as any other packer, merge the files in appropriate folders, use the bat file.

Are there any cheat codes that exist that would make it so even if I play regular drums, it would show the cymbal icons in-game for cymbal hits? I think it would be cool to be able to see a difference between the tom and cymbal hits, even though I don’t have the pro cymbals.

Let me get this straight, you have no Pro Drums so you want to select regular Drums and still have the cymbals show up and be hittable with the regular kit? Sounds kind of hacky, but it might work if I dig around my notes a bit. I remember finding some values I could change that made Pro Guitar playable with the regular guitar mode and it played exactly as you’d expect, except the 6th note couldn’t be hit. It would be interesting if what you’re describing is possible.

Here’s the full list of new songs (requested by my bro off the legacy database) that did not load on my Neogamma Wii, so far:

          Polka Power – Weird Al

          Time Again – Asia

Time (Clock of the Heart) – Culture Club

Doin’ it Right – Daft Punk

You Spin Me Round – Dead or Alive

Deththeme/Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle – Dethklok

One Last Time – Dream Theater

Save a Prayer – Duran Duran

I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe) – Genesis

Hold on my Heart – Genesis

Jesus He Knows Me – Genesis

Heart and Soul – Huey Lewis and the News

          Welcome Home (Sanitarium) – Metallica

          One – Metallica

When The Lights Go Out – Naked Eyes

Wrapped Around Your Finger – The Police

Eyes of a Stranger – Queensrÿche

          Amerika – Rammstein

Sweet Transvestite – Rocky Horror Picture Show

          Logical Song – Supertramp

          Breakfast in America – Supertramp

Birdhouse in Your Soul – They Might Be Giants

          Africa – Toto

          Hold The Line – Toto

I’ll Be Over You – Toto

What Have You Done – Within Temptation

The only things changed in the songs.dta were the ones instructed, like sZAE edited to sZFE, and the relevant slot number.

Some of these had numbers for the song ID further down in the .dta, though my success rate has been irregardless of that variation.

Also of note is that quite a few (11) of these were authored by Farottone. I love his work, but I seem to have the most trouble with his songs on my Wii, historically.

Also, I notice that lately my customs scores aren’t saving. I’ve played Changes by Yes through Harmony Vocal (on auto) 3 times already, and the scores/stars still fail to show up afterwards. I don’t know if it has anything to do with my now having 1016 songs in my library thanks to the cheat.

That is exactly what I want! It would be awesome if you could make it happen! <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

          #461082

Scores not saving are probably invalid IDs. If you can’t access the leaderboards for that song it confirms it.

          #461089

This happens to customs that had ID numbers before I even touched them, to IDs that were provided by your database, and to those with which the ID was the name instead of numbers.

Quite perplexing, isn’t it? I’ve had the issue with all ID types.

UPDATE: And now my scores for official DLC are starting to disappear. For example, ABC by the Jackson 5. I just re-cleared it on guitar, 5* expert, and upon going back into the quickplay menu right after performance, the very same track once again reverted to being uncleared.

Hmm, now that I look at it, it may not be as simple as I thought. And because of all the controller types the game can read, it could get tricky to narrow down. But to see if I’m on the right track, do these do anything? Proceed with caution of course. This is something that can be different between emulator and actual console.

$Change Guitar Controller to Pro Guitar
            04A8A440 00000004
            $Change Drum Controller to Keys
            04A8A680 00000003

If these work like they should, when you connect a standard Guitar controller, it should be read as Pro and you can play the part. Or if using the Drum controller cheat, it should show up as Keys and it should let you pick Keys, Pro Keys, Guitar, and Bass. If that works, then it’s a step closer.
