Do you have the RAD Video Tools installed? That would be required for this script to run.
October 25, 2015 at 3:21 am #458166Hey Stack, I’ve been playing for awhile and I’m getting that “there is add-on content in the wii system memory that must be moved to the SD card.” Then it has an unknown error occur, then it disables the SD card. I tried clearing the cache but that didn’t work.

I’ve had this error many times, and it took me awhile to find a good fix! First thing to do is check your Wii System memory through data management, and if there is something called Rockband DLC, delete it. Usually there isn’t though, so while in the data management screen, copy anything from the Wii system memory to the SD card, and you should no longer get that error.
October 25, 2015 at 1:52 pm #458178Hi!
First of all, huge thanks to OP, StackOverflow0x ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
I’m here to report that everything is working surprisingly perfectly well on my PAL Wii. I expected to stumble upon many problems but… I didn’t ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> (well, I actually did but they were my fault >.<)
Also, I have few questions:
1. Why is the default (I mean in the tutorial) DLC generation for customs gen. 6 (sZFE/sZFP)?
2. Won’t throwing customs in here take up official DLC’s slots?
3. Why don’t we use gen. 11 (sZNE/sZNP)? It’s the last one (for Wii), and there won’t be any more DLC for Wii Rockband 3 after all…
4. Where can I find which .bin file is which song from official DLC? (I mean something like this: http://rawksd.japaneatahand.com/wiki/Master_DLC_List )
5. How do I reset cache on a PAL Wii? >.< (customs from SD card, real nand)

I would love to know this as well.
5. How do I reset cache on a PAL Wii? >.< (customs from SD card, real nand)
This I know how to do, assuming it is the same as an NA Wii.
First, you will need this app to navigate your nand
http://wiibrew.org/wiki/WiiXplorer
Open it through the homebrew channel, then click the “Start” button in the bottom left corner, then “Settings” > “Boot Settings” and turn ON nand write access.
Now navigate to title/00010000/535a4245/data
Delete the MSTORE.VFF file, it is the cache
I think it is saved in a slightly different folder on the PAL version, but unfortunately I don’t know where, someone else will have to answer that

I tried restoring MSTORE.VFF provided in the op (or by the OP… nevermind xD) using FSToolbox but, even though it restored the file successfully, it didn’t do anything.
Won’t it hurt to delete this file on real (not emulated) nand? I mean, there must be a reason that there is a file provided in the tutorial to restore…
October 25, 2015 at 7:35 pm #458196Do know that if you don’t have a working console, then the RBHP upgrades won’t be of much use since as far as I know, Dolphin doesn’t support using the microphone to play.
Even so, I can play keys on guitar on dolphin , no achievements will be earned, but is fun using keys with my guitar.. and I think it is the only way i can play my Rockband 1 songs in rockband 3 because my dvd from rockband 1 dont work on dolphin …Why it’s so damn hard to play my rockband 1 songs in rockband 3?Maybe with HP upgrades they finally work, I almost givin up this songs .Any help in getting HP working,??Thank you sire, very good of yours sharing your knowledge

I use a real nand and delete it all the time, it is perfectly safe. If you delete, it just creates a new one once you start the game, and reloads all the DLC’s data. You can tell it worked, because at the main menu you will have to sit and wait for the songs to load.

sZFP has a lot of empty slots available for this. Only about the first 20 or so are used. If you do run out, the entirely free custom slots of sZGP and sZHP exist. So the N ones shouldn’t have to be used.
I have a DTA with every song released in it. But without something that can take my file and generate a table like that, the RawkSD list will unfortunately be the most complete.
Resetting the cache on PAL is the same as described by iPodwithnomusic, except you’re looking for 535A4250, instead of the one that ends in 45. WiiXplorer lets you erase it really easily and then the game will regenerated it at startup.
October 26, 2015 at 9:21 am #458234Thank you for the reply ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
I don’t exactly get that part however.

Does that mean there are whole “DLC” generations just for custom songs? Don’t we need ticket unlocker wads to take advantage of those generations?
October 26, 2015 at 4:28 pm #458259You do. And they’re somewhere in this topic. So I’ll definitely have to clean up the first post sooner than later.
Edit: The main tutorial has now been updated. Did I miss anything? I know I’m missing real disc customs use cases. A RockBiink tutorial could help too.
October 28, 2015 at 4:27 am #458358Hey, just wanted to thank you for doing all of this! I do have a problem. I ran out of space on sZFE so I tried to use the new sZGE packer that you added yesterday and when I load it up on the Wii, the game says corrupted files. Do you know what is going on with this?
October 28, 2015 at 1:03 pm #458367Thank U very much Stackoverflow for your patience and helpness in updating the tuto. now everythings is easy to comprehend. Just a question have you uploaded a new version of the dolphin packer? The version I’m using does not support meta and song folders up to 10 MB> meta and 650 MB song folder. Tried many times experiencing with 1000, 900, 800 700 MB and cutting the amount of MBs and the pack bat do not worked until I reach 650MB (song) and 10mb (meta). In the tuto you say the limit is 2GB what is enough space , but actually (in the version I’m using) is just 650Mb.song/10MB>meta. Maybe I am using an older version of the packer??? And Still, I can’t make the rb1 export work , if someone who actually make it work could help me i’m grateful.. Thank you for the cheats..too, Stack, .The 1000+ songs cheat is the best!

Only thing I could see missing is some clarification about PAL folders. You link the wad, however down in the tutorial there is no mention about having to use sZFP or sZGP folders if a person owns a PAL console. If I haven’t had any experience with NTSC Rock Band games I wouldn’t know that the dlc folders are region specific.
And the same goes for getting keys. If I hadn’t been through all of the hacking and installing homebrew on my Wii I would have no idea at all where to get common key and keys.bin.
Other than that everything is clear enough to get custom songs working just by following the tutorial having not so much technical knowledge/experience ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Also, sZGP wad installed fine (with a proper error), and I’ve successfully deleted the cache. Thanks again ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Oh, I’ve almost forgotten. Could you tell at least what are the first and last song for every generation? I suspect there are no free slots in between songs?

Did you install the provided WAD just like any other DLC WAD? Also, are your ng_id and common-key values correct?

There isn’t much of a “packer” for Dolphin anymore. All you really need is u8it. But, the issues you’re having sound similar to issues with a mixed up region that the SYSCONF can cause. Like, of you’re on the NTSC game loading PAL DLC, or the other way around.
Or, it could have nothing to do with the file size and you might be cutting out a problem DTA very early in the pack.
