Good thing I just do single songs at a time anyway. I’ll give newer slots a go (I’ll permanently leave those 270/1, 272/3, 274/5, 276/7, and 284/5 slots alone) once this anime convention I’m attending wraps up.
I wonder, could something like this have necessitated the need for sZGE and sZHE generations dedicated for just customs?
September 27, 2015 at 12:10 am #456013I don’t know what causes certain values to not work, but having more content generations is always a good thing because it means less compromise for the user.
October 3, 2015 at 6:18 pm #456640Once again I am having problems. When I boot up the game, it says there is add-on content that must be transfered to the SD card. Then once it starts, it says an unknown error has occured, and SD card mode is disabled. I have tried different SD cards and formatting my SD card. I just played it fine yesterday, and I haven’t downloaded songs in months. Any ideas?
Edit: And I fixed it by deleting a few channels of the Wii System memory. I had 97 blocks free before, but I guess that wasn’t enough ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
Edit2: Also, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this, but when I clear my cache, I lose for the scores for the following songs from the (old) official C3 database:
– Linkin Park – A Light That Never Comes
– Linkin Park – Burning In The Skies
– Linkin Park – Lost in the Echo
– Linkin Park – Given Up
I think there might be something wrong with the songs, since customs I make don’t lose their scores.
October 5, 2015 at 3:29 pm #456830Songs after a certain point started adding numeric IDs, which keep score. Those, along with other customs, don’t have them.
As for the SD error on the title screen, it only ever seems to come up randomly, buy if you do have little space left on your Wii, that sounds like it could be related for some reason.
October 16, 2015 at 4:52 am #457648Hi, I’m new here…I really appreciate some help. I’m using dolphin …and I have a lot of offical dlc working okay with no issues, but When i Tried to use some custom the game freezes and the emulator crashes qhen it goes to load downloadable content…when I delete the tmd and ticket files the game works again with my dlc …May I doing something wrong??Thanx for any help;;;;
October 16, 2015 at 7:17 am #457650Thanks to your guide I’ve been able to get customs running on my Wii, but now, I am trying to get it working for Dolphin for almost a week so that I can test the songs before i run to my wii and put them on there. But I have been having no luck so far. I’ve followed your the guide for dolphin step by step using everything that was inside the “package” you uploaded for Dolphin and it would crash before getting to the menu.
I have searched this thread for people with similar problems and I have found and tried swapping to “sZGE” with the .TMD file you linked and a 735a4745.tik file someone else linked but I get the “Unknown Error” and songs would repeatedly try to load in an endless loop after getting to the main menu.
Im hoping you or someone can provide some assistance and it would be most appreciated.
EDIT: Im also using Dolphin 4.0 4243
im havin this same problem, The emulator crashes before entering the menu…lost nights of sleep days, cant solve this and i made the tutorial in the first page step by step , a lot of times, help me in this please…
October 19, 2015 at 7:15 pm #457826I would recommend packing literally everything into sZAE 001. That has always worked because if you have the ticket and TMD files for sZAE, then you’re all set.
October 19, 2015 at 7:21 pm #457828Cool Story, Bro: I found Wii RB3 this past weekend for $2 at a thrift store. I might have to try this exercise just for the experience. If I do, I will keep this thread on speed dial, so thank you in advance for your services, StackOverflow0x. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
October 21, 2015 at 3:29 pm #457933I am having a slight problem. I downloaded some customs where the file size is above 20 MB and it freezes when I try to play it. Is there any way I can reduce the audio quality, without having to build it myself in magma, because then I lose the dry vocals.

hi Stack, Thanks to your post and back tracking this topic i was able to run the customs…Now I have some question if you please answear me …You just wrote that dolphin has unlimited room for files, correct cause my nand dump is on the pc so i have a lot of gbs.The question is, if Dolphin does not support multiple slots then i can just have a few songs like 14 or 16,cause this is the maximum of songs I could put in the same slot…if I put more the meta will surpass the 400kb restriction and the song folder will surpass the 400 mb restriction.?Then in my interpretation we have limited room for customs …and we cant use RBHP because it will require more slots. AM I correct?Ah and if you want you can update the dolphin part of the tutorial because actually the custom songs work in new versions of dolphin (I tested in 7440 version). Thank you very much, sire….

The limit should be 40, so it might be freezing for something else. If you do need to reduce audio size, use RockBiink to make a smaller .bik file. Bit again, shouldn’t be necessary in this case.

There is no file size limit in Dolphin. Meta and song folders can be packed as large as the app packer will allow, which is about a gigabyte, I think? You can safely use 001-009, or so for packing. That should be more than enough to use. There’s a newer Dolphin guide somewhere, so I’ll have to update the first post soon.
October 23, 2015 at 8:01 pm #458084Thank you very much, sire…this information will help increase my library with my purchased dlc and the customs together…
I’ll be waiting to see the dolphin part updated when you can , off course. when my Wii died I just use my precious nand with my dlc in dolphin to continue to rock on plastic rock goodness.. still one more question, I really dont know how to accompany the RBHP tutorial i read and read and read and cannot understand . However reading the custom tutorial for Wii I was able to learn considerably fast I’m a fast learner.
Can you or other user tell me step by step what can i do ?like 1-… 2-… Thank you .
October 24, 2015 at 6:39 pm #458146Do know that if you don’t have a working console, then the RBHP upgrades won’t be of much use since as far as I know, Dolphin doesn’t support using the microphone to play.

Yeah I just tried it, a few sounds around 29 MB all froze constantly, but I’ve never had a song 20 MB or less freeze. I’ll look into RockBiink
October 25, 2015 at 2:36 am #458164I just tried RockBiink, and after running the script, here’s what I get:
# Error running: bink C:UsersuserDownloadsRockBiinkBetaAudiodrums 1.wav samplesong.bik /d950000 /m3.0 /O /L4 /p8 /R44100 /b16 /c1
