For the record, Magma has features built-in specifically for this purpose as requested by Stack while I was developing it. If you encounter one of these tracks that need re-doing in Magma, click on File -> Import -> Wii Mode and then drag/drop the CON to Magma. It should do virtually everything by itself. Complete anything that may be missing and recompile. Now it’ll do so in a way that should work with the Wii.
The only limitation is of course when a song is encrypted. In that case only Stack and I have the ability to process that song.
Reporting that 2000 songs on emunand works without issues (except the RB store isn’t liking it, but that doesn’t really matter).
I really hope I can go higher without any important issues
How does the store react?
EDIT: Good news! The Max Songs limit code, after Alternity’s edit, finally works!
Well this might just be because I’m using emunand, but the connection is bad, and I get errors all the time, it’s almost impossible to download from it.
Good to hear about the song limit code. Tread carefully. There has to be some other arbitrary limit somewhere.
Likely the 3000 limit the other systems have. I doubt I’ll reach 2000 anyhow.
It’s a shame that the Wii links of deleted songs on the database also had to go, especially since it’s all but confirmed that the Wii/U is being left in the dust by Rock Band 4.
It’s not doing much to remove the Xbox versions and leave the others, now is it? It would be but a couple of minutes to put that back into a Xbox version ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
Fair point, of course. Unless it forced Harmonix’s hand to make a Wii U Rock Band 4. Eh, one can dream.
I just don’t want to have to resort to downloading EVERYTHING from the database in case Harmonix announces more songs.
I’m still miffed that your progress on “Your Love” had to halt because of the last announcement. I would have loved to harmonize on that one.
I think you’ve already realized what you should do… ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
You’re such a lovable troll. You know that, right? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
That’s what my mommy always said.
Dear Sirs,
You helped me a while back with using customs on WiiU PAL. I now wanted to expand my collection and tried to pack more songs and ran into 2 problems:
I tried to pack 224 songs (499 files) for sZFP with given packer. The packer packed all songs but Wii loads only 189 customs (429 is the last file) in sZFP and deletes the rest from an SD card as if they are “corruped”. I suspect that this is packer fault?
Next i tried to use sZGP packer that StackOverflow0x gave to me. This packer packed only up until folder 004 and than tries to pack folder 00010001.apk and halts. I think he gave me the wrong packer by mistake because he mentioned that there is a packer that does that but he told me this is the “500 files” one.
Can someone help?
Thank you!
Are you sure you’re using the correct sZGP pack? This should be the one I sent you.
Well, I redownloaded it using this link in your post and the same thing happens.
Oh, I see. Somehow the new TMD didn’t make it into the archive. Try the same link again and it should work.
You are about to leave Rhythm Gaming World and access the external songs DB. While no song or file sold for commercially available videogames is hosted there and only fan generated content is allowed, Rhythm Gaming World has no direct control over the database and no files are hosted here. Alright, we had to made you aware of this, now you can visit the database!
