    I think so…

    TMD Generation: sZFE

    Ticket Generation: sZFE

    padding.app: OK

    TMD Content Count: 0x01F4

    Cert File: OK

    Console ID: 0353fc43

    Banner File: 00000026.app

    Truchatik: OK

    Common Key: OK

To create the common key, I copy/pasted: ebe42a225e8593e448d9c5457381aaf7 into the blank file. The size reports as 32 bytes. I see from earlier that it is only supposed to be 16 bytes. Think that’s the problem? I tried removing any extra spaces at the end, which took it from 40 to 32 bytes.

You copy paste the key how? If it was as text, then that would be the issue.

Yes, that’s what I did. How was I supposed to do it? Sorry for all of the newbie questions…

I think Stack forgets not everyone is so into hex and binary stuff as he is.

        ebe42a225e8593e448d9c5457381aaf7

If you copy/paste that into a text editor, it is stored as text, and that would be as 32 bytes, one byte for each character from that string.

If you copy/paste that into a Hex editor (like HxD), then it’s stored as

        0xeb, 0xe4, 0x2a, 0x22, 0x5e, 0x85, 0x93, 0xe4, 0x48, 0xd9, 0xc5, 0x45, 0x73, 0x81, 0xaa, 0xf7

        which is the 16-byte key he’s talking about. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

Aha! Thanks so much! I’ll try this when I get home tonight. I look forward to clearing this last hurdle, so I can start playing all of these great songs!

Speaking of… Once I am finally up and running, after I pack and move the .bin files to my SD card do I need to keep the .app, .bin and other files/folders in my packing folder, or should I clean them all out?

Also, it seems like the process for adding new customs will simply be:

        1. download .rar and extract

        2. edit folder names and songs.dta

        3. pack

        4. move .bin files to SD card

The resetting cache step is not actually needed for me?

Oh wow I didn’t know this either! This might fix my problems as well thanks!

Don’t worry about the text value, this is being used as a byte key and all that matters is the byte values themselves. I’ll let Stack elaborate since I have no idea what this is even for. I just check in every once in a while and I saw that issue. But I have no idea what the key is for. :haw:

Mine too. It still didn’t work though. I still get the “Add on content” error when I go into the game. I created this new common key file, saved it in the packing folder, repacked the songs, and moved those new .bin files to the sZFE folder (replacing the ones I had there before. Is this where the resetting the cache comes in?

If it’s still showing up as the add on content error, then that just means it could still be something else. Are you running the game in IOS 249?

I’m using the disc. Should I be using my usb loader? I had trouble accessing any DLC when I tried that a long time ago.

I think I still have something else wrong, because things just don’t seem right. I decided to try a couple of different songs, and I can’t get those to pack at all… In my packing folder, I only have the two folders of the new song I am trying to pack (062_00000044_blueorchid_meta and 063_00000045_blueorchid_song). I editing the song.dta file to change the path to sZFE/062. I ran RB3WiiPackTool.exe to prep the .bat file, but then when I run packdlc.bat it generates the .app file but fails on the packing with the error “packing 0000003e.app …not found, aborting”…

I thought I was close to having this going, but the more I try, the less I feel I understand what is happening… I really appreciate your help! It’s frustrating, but I’m committed to figuring it out.

Oh right. Because just like the person before you, It should be 062_0000003e, not 44. The long one is supposed to be the first value, but in hexadecimal.

Thanks. I did read the thread, but having these issues has my head spinning a bit. I corrected my folder names, and now the songs seem to be packing correctly. I tried running Rock Band 3 from my usb-loader (CFG v. 60) using IOS 249, but I get the same Add On Content error. I can see the game scan those new songs though before the error comes up. My usual DLC still works in the usb-loader, so that’s good anyway.

When I started this I did not have a sZFE folder, so I just created one (under Private/Wii/DATA) on the SD card. Was there anything else I was supposed to do?

Did you find and install the sZFE wad? That could be what you’re missing.

I’m guessing not… My Wii has been softmodded for a long time, and I’m not the best at documenting what I’ve done.
