Yes, now looking at this, I can see that the one IOS that really matters, 249, is not correct. Go back to that d2x page I linked and make sure you end up with the following changes:

IOS247[53] (rev 21008, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS248[55] (rev 21008, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS249[56] (rev 21008, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

Yours are not v8 or the right bases.

Hm… I only have the options for v4-6 and v10. Can I just do v10 or do I need to download another thing?

Hey Stack, what should I do if I’m getting that error where the screen goes black and says it can’t be restored to the Wii memory, but the song is a CON converted to Wii format with the C3CON program?

Newer is probably better. As long as the base matches mine.

Usually when that happens, it’s because the song folder is too big. Remember it can’t exceed 40MB and multitracks tend to push that easily. This can also happen if the songs.dta file referring to that song was left at sZAE/000.

Turns out it was bigger than 40MB. Is there anything I could do about it (other than pick a shorter song)?

Did it. Tested it out on Rock Band 3 and content still can’t be restored. />.>” title=”>.>” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

Is the one song by itself larger than that? If it is, then this is what RockBiink is for. You can build a smaller audio file for the song by creating a bink file.

So your sysCheck would match mine now? At least those last 5 or so?

How are you running the game? Is it through IOS249?

They match now. I’m using the USB Loader GX through IOS249. I’m using the sZGE wad and .bin files through the packing tools you sent me, since I can’t seem to find the sZFE wad. This is pretty much the setup I have, should I be running the game through anything else?

The loader shouldn’t matter as long as the IOS is the same. But, does it say what the loader itself is running as? Mine says IOS 222.

Hm… The loader and game are both using IOS249. Should I change the loader’s OS to 222, too? (Pfff saying that out loud.)

Like, should that be my setup? 222 and 249?

Try it, to see if it does anything. It’s getting tougher to say what it could be.

Yeah, it’s just one song. I’ll look into RockBiink, thanks.

Tried it last night and I still got nothing. This is strange, I’m clearing the cache every time before I start up, I have all the IOSes, I have the WAD, what next!? I’m going to repack my songs later, just in case. So… yeah, I’m going to try that as I don’t know what to do, anymore.

Show me your newest sysCheck anyways, even if you’re saying it’s the same now.

Potential things to look at. Are you certain your ng_id is correct? Is your common key file exactly 16 bytes and not any larger?

Bingo. My common-key file is 32 bytes… ebe42a225e8593e448d9c5457381aaf7 is okay, right? It’s not anything specific to my Wii? Why is it 32 bytes? Don’t I just have to open it up in text editor and just paste the key in there?

Also I’ve checked my ng_id (This IS my Console ID, correct? Sorry if I’m overskeptic and asking way too many unnecessary questions, I just want to get this exactly right. />.>” title=”>.>” class=”bbcode_smiley” />) like a billion times, so I’m pretty sure it’s correct. 73997879 is what my console ID is, unless every homebrew program including syscheck has been lying to me.
