Changing to sZAE worked perfectly (on r4243 at least, haven’t tested latest)!
Thank you very much for all your help ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
I’ll see if I can get it to work on latest Dolphin in a bit.
Edit:
sZAE is working on Dolphin latest (r5762). Woo-hoo!
March 9, 2015 at 6:24 pm #440231Besides C3 wii releases – does anyone else release wii customs ?
As in on this site, in the other customs release discussion area.
I really want more Nightwish songs and I know bsbloom has done some for the xbox over there….. anyone know ?

You can use C3 CON Tools and use the Wii Converter in it to covert Xbox and CON files to Wii files. That’s how I play test my customs. All you have to do is get the file, plug it into the Wii Converter and it gives you the Meta and Song Folders to set up into the Wii ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

Not really. The only problem I had was I didn’t know where the folders went after I did the conversions. They will go into a WiiFiles folder in the place/folder that you had the CON or other files in. Other than that it’s pretty simple. Oh and it will recognize all of the compatible files to convert. So, say you only want to convert 2 songs but you have 5 in the input folder, it will read and convert all 5. But otherwise, it’s almost fool-proof, unless you’re a fool like me haha

March 9, 2015 at 11:46 pm #440264Ah cool – in the same tool I use to merge – nice and easy.
! final question if I may – do I have to use this audacity to create a preview or can I not bother and have no previews for say the 5 songs in my cons folder.
I know for creating the bins I need to make sure that only the lead song has a preview. Does it cause issues with no previews ?
March 9, 2015 at 11:54 pm #440265Wii Converter creates the preview file for you. Make sure you’re on the latest version of C3 CON Tools, although that’s a feature from a long time ago.
March 10, 2015 at 3:04 pm #440325Not sure who’ll be the best to help me but I was going to play-test my custom I’ve been working on and it shows up in the game with the preview and everything but when I go to play it it says the “content cant be restored on the wii memory” or something of that sort. I’ve had this trouble before but I checked that my packing folders are named and the dta is correct too. Any ideas on how to get past this. It’s my first song that I did pro keys for and I really want to see it in game. Thanks.
March 10, 2015 at 8:54 pm #440352Is the audio and midi in the 002 folder? If it is and it’s still not working, try moving your content’s files over to the next available slot of 003 and 004.
March 11, 2015 at 1:22 am #440365I generate a .bin, but generating a working bin is my problem. This weekend, I’ll see what I can do with that.I pasted that into the common-key and my ng_id came from the keys.bin that came from softmodding the device.
Also, I am use sZFE for the customs
EDIT: I used HxD to open a DLC…didn’t find anything readily decipherable that could be the number. I also couldn’t figure out what tool to use in C3CON tools, but I’m gonna keep playing with it tonight.
EDIT2: I gave up looking for the tool or in HxD with other .bin files.
This was the last post on the previous page, so this might’ve been missed…
Any idea, Stack?
March 11, 2015 at 2:36 am #440367Have you not gotten your ng_id file? Dropping in a BIN file from your SD card that you got from a downloaded song anywhere into C3CONTools should give you the right value. That should confirm the ng_id step is correct.
March 11, 2015 at 11:52 am #440377Is the audio and midi in the 002 folder? If it is and it’s still not working, try moving your content’s files over to the next available slot of 003 and 004.You’re talking about the folders that have been made off of the Wii Converter correct? If so, all appropriate files should be in their folders. The dta. preview mogg and image are in the meta and the midi, mogg, and milo are all in the song folder. I’ve even tried different bin numbers and it hasn’t worked yet.
March 11, 2015 at 4:18 pm #440399And when you tried different bin numbers, you also updated the DTA, right?
March 11, 2015 at 4:26 pm #440402Yeah, I even double checked that I made it sZFE. I’m trying to think if there were any other steps that I may have jumped over in the packing process because to my knowledge, that’s the only source that my problem could be in. If the song didn’t build right, it would have failed in the compiler am I correct? I may just try to convert it once again and restart the packing process.
