I can’t talk about the official DLC files but regarding the sZGE and sZHE I’ve never got them to work on Dolphin. You don’t need to use them for custom songs anyways considering sZFE has empty slots and you can pack virtually infinite songs in one slot.

As for knowing which songs is in which slots you can use u8it.exe that comes with the packer which is a CLI app that can unpack app files.

i still don’t understand how to have more than 250 songs, my english is not so good and from 500 in hexadecimal nothing works. even if i try to group some songs i still have to rename them with headecimal numbers.

 

Another thing i have songs that won’t work on my console, they appear in the playlist but with an error when we try to playl them. (Exemple: BUFFY ou BETTY DAVIES EYES or HUSH COLLA SHAKER).

 

And another problem some songs don’t appear at all in the playlist (Exemple: QUEEN INNUENDO or WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER)

 

Any ideas? sorry for the trouble.

You have to use another generation (sZxy).

 

However using 250 slots you should be able to have more songs considering you can pack multiple songs in one slot up to 40mb for the song folder and 500kb for the meta folder (if memory serves correctly).

I cannot remember which gen (sZJE I think), but I remember seeing that it contains most of the songs from RB2 and Green Day RB. I did not see any from RB1 or Lego however. Is there even a gen containing the songs from Lego RB and RB1?

Hello on the wii it is no more possible to buy songs from HARMONIX, the wii shop is no more, how can we get these songs, does someone know? We are searshing songs from QUEEN to do a rockband special QUEEN but impossible to GET HAMMER TO FALL, CRAZY THINGS CALL LOVE…etc these are from DLC and not possible anymore to buy them. Is anybody knows please?

You could try using wads to purchase all songs. Sadly I don’t think I’m allowed to give links to things like that so I can’t really give you a direct link. It should be findable on YouTube.

Even with the wads the game freeze when you try to open the music store so we need to way until the Wii Open Shop is released

In the 1st page they show how to play customs on an emunand/Dolphin. The problem is not to install custom songs in an emulated NAND, the problem is to make Rock Band 3 work with one. That is not documented anywhere because most people that uses an emunand uses a different method. I was really excited about switching over to emulation on my PC, even got everything set up and going… then discovered the super cool 1000 song limit ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” /> Obviously much worse than the xbox limit, I’m just wondering if doing it through emulation could there be a possibility of finding a way around that?? I’m guessing that would probably require actual changing of the code, which would be frowned upon? Or could there be another way?

 

I assume the 1000 limit alos applies regardless of if you put most of your songs onto SD?
