One of the dev versions after 5.0 broke it for the DLC filesize. If you want to pack big packs gotta go with a not-so-recent version. If you dig in this thread you should be able to find the exact version where the change occured.

 

Also; you can modify the cheat for more than 3k songs on Dolphin without (gamebreaking) problems.

I use the 988 version, and by the way, i made a video showing how it looks here

By the way idk why the videos has no 60FPS, since the other day it had the option, and i recorded at 60 FPS (as can it can be seen in the corner)

And it can looks better if you have a better PC than mine (FX8320e at 4.1Ghz/RX560 4G:cool:

EDIT: i will upload a new video since i’m bothered of no 60FPS, and online (yeah you can play online with real NAND wii or using the Dolphin NAND Generator)

EDIT2: nevermind, on online i got a shitty video in the background instead of the real animations, so no sense to record that (same with custom songs)

Welp since i made to install Customs on Latests Dolphin Devs with real Wii NAND, but 1 by 1 and not being able to pack various in 1, i have some questions :B

 

I have successfully installed 10 songs and all of them work, but

 

1. That means i can install 999 songs per DLC? i mean, since it has 3 slots before the first _, anyways i’m sure i won’t be installing more than 100 songs lol

 

2. Some custom songs at the end, actually don’t end and get bugged, usually with the xbox-> wii conversion, is because the conversion?

Limits are all determined by the TMD. Custom generations like sZGE and sZHE have more continuous slots in their TMD. Not 999 though. I don’t think it can go that high. And I’ve also had no luck getting the custom generations to work in Dolphin.

Hiding the crowd with the Concentration Mode cheat can help reach full performance. Setting this up can also be a bit complicated, so ask if you need help.”

The way I use the cheat is turning the cheat on then enabling all-instruments mode in-game. Concentration Mode forces a black background when the video venue are playing and all-instruments mode (and various other modes, like playing online) forces them. I think there is also a cheat to force them too.

oh welp is there a way to remove the video venue, and actually show the characters using the instruments? because if not, then i think no sense to record that (who wants to see a video venue in a video tbh)

Thanks! that works, i love you, with the last cheat ($Force Venue on All Instruments Mode

EDIT: in online i still see the video venue, so probably that does need another gecko code? i’m using video venues never appear but sill appear

Sorry for doing this amount of comments, but i have a problem now

 

With newer dolphin versions, the DLC and songs load “fine” if they are one by one, so i said welp why not try with older versions to pack multiple songs in one, so i used a Dolphin version before the change to load the DLC

 

Now there are 2 problems:

1- After pressing green on the intro video, it creates MSTORE.vff Instantly even before the main menu

2- Dolphin Crashes shortly after that

 

How i can evade or say to Dolphin to no create that file, so the emulator load the songs and not crashes? Thanks

NVM: fixed afterwards, anyways after a save, close and opening the game again, it does not scan the files i think i will just stay with newer versions

EDIT: now i found because it didn’t load the cache, it only works on english ._. i feel stupid now

Where can I find the common-key file needed to get these songs to load? I assume that my having only the blank file is the reason it says it cannot restore to system memory.

Sorry, I actially figured out what my problem was. I just needed to install the wad files! It’s all working perfectly, thanks for the great guide!

I thought I had a list of these somewhere, but apparently not.

Here’s a few that the game recognizes. The point of this is for the text to be localized in-game.

(rb1 "Rock Band")

Maybe there are more? But it doesn’t matter since it seems you can write your own custom category just fine.

 

 

Hey Stack, out of curiosity, what exactly did you type to make “My Custom Category” show up in your screenshot? Since I removed all my customs to focus on my regular DLC (and then add back customs in an organized manner this time ’round), I’d add like to add them back in a way so that they don’t mix in with the RBN category, for the purpose of identifying them better.
